Bettini wasn't wearing the points jersey today even though he was leading. that pretty much guarantees he's quitting.
Nah, that isn't the reason.
He said that he didn't want to wear the jersey, because he only got a few days left in the World Championship-jersey. |

uhm. okay then. let's see if he abandons tomorrow as he says, but the finish suits him very well. (it's the traditional arrival in Ávila)

Bennati isn't of my favourite riders, but he is going to ride for Liquigas, so he's also going to be my favourite rider . I would be much happier if Peta- (not this one not, he dopes), if Zabel, Bäckstedt or Fernandéz win.
I don't like this picture. |

Sastre attacked just a few kms into the stage
EDIT: Efimkin was dropped and is nearly 3 minutes behind.

Vande Velde and Sörensen blew themselves up working, naturally. they'll lose bundles of time today. they're on the final climb.

Efimkin will plummet down the standings.
Sánchez has a great chance of winning the traditional arrival in Ávila. they're now going past the medieval walls.

Luis Perez attacks and wins because no one except Sastre wants to work.
amazing how no one attacks the race leader except Sastre. this way it's obvious the race will always be boring...
and since no one will do anything, Efimkin is getting back gobs of time. the 3 minute lead went down to 2 minutes in 3kms...

Either my cycling.tv is over a kilometre behind or youre just speculating.
He is passing people 11km behind him - its an 11km finishing circuit

no speculation. they've picked up now, as Pellizotti attacks and Menchov chases. but it's still nowhere near enough. pathetic, really.
