I'd argue of course that its the other way around, that is Hoy that's Bos closest challenger.
The same goes for the 4x1000m team pursuit. SN and Doddy wont shut up about how great shape the UK team is in. Dont forget that they are forgetting that the danish team has gotten some actual results on the road during July

Well as Hoy is the World Champion, surely all the rest are challengers to him?
And Waghlon, dont forget that the Team Pursuit is ridden in a velodrome on the track Results on the road mean nothing.

Year after year yes - but years where Chris Hoy didnt participate in the Sprint. The first year that Hoy does participate in the World Championship Sprint, this year, he beat Bos 2-1 in the quarter finals despite gifting Bos the first leg by making a poor mistake, and goes on to win the gold. Bos has never beaten Hoy in a Sprint at any World Cup or World Championsip.

Hoy has never met a Bos in top form though, has he? |

it would be a weird move not to peak for both World Championships and Olympics, they aren't exactly close togethor...
About the timetrial, I didn't bother watching it, what was the point? We all knew who would win

It was actually quite exciting because only when Cancellara entered the final kilometre and his running clock popped up in the left hand corner did we know that he would win. Contador was very strong to start with and then Larsson was ahead of Cancellara halfway through the 2nd lap.

I think Millar is not allowed to compete because of his doping past. The same thing as Dwain Chambers? |

Anyone who is caught doping isn't allowed to ride/run/play with the national team. That's how it is in Britain, not sure if it's the same everywhere else.
Millar is focused on the World ITT anyway, he says he has regained his time trialling confidence, so he's looking for a decent placing there.

It's the same in Sweden and I think it's good.

How can he ride at the WC when he can't ride the olympics? It's still the national team, or is it just at the olympics that the rule counts?

The British ban any rider from competing in the olympics for life if he/she has failed a drug test.
Doesn't go for any other competition

There hasnt been a notable track competiton since the Manchester Worlds - So should I quote them instead?
Well, how about this, Geraint Thomas produced a time in training that would have won him the Individual Pursuit at the Worlds - and he was formerly the weaker part of the 4 man Pursuit team.
