Haha if he's a goalie it's never going to happen. He wont have any chance against Reina,Carson,Bouzanis
And I'm very proud of myself, predicting Russia in the semi's 3 out of 4 teams are right. If you switch Turkey for Croatia I would've got full score |

I love Turkey. When they first got through I was pissed coz I thought it would lower the level of the later rounds, but I think they are great now. They are one of the few teams which really plays with its heart not with its head and they truly give 110% for the entire match. I so hope they win now. |

The BBC coverage: "We are sorry for the break in this programme and are trying to correct the fault"
Meanwhile, they have put Radio 5 live's commentary on, with no pictures

The pictures came back after about 5mins. But they've gone again now
From what I saw of the first half, Turkey are looking very good
EDIT: the word is that a big cloud is troubling the satelites
EDIT2: Damn apparently German score

Apparently it's 2-2, and Lehman is an idiot
The 5-Live commentator just said: "I'll tell you what, there isn't a decent goalkeeper on the pitch"
"This is silly, everything is silly"

If there is one thing I appreciate in Germany is their efficiency, but this is another underserved victory. Turkey had so much more spirit, ball and sacrifice.
I'm conflicted between Russia and Spain. Russia is a sensation team like Turkey, but Spain is my next door neighbour. May the best game wins. |

You have a good commentator over there
So true... Lehmann just didnt get into the game from the start tonight. And the turkish team did the best to take advantage of this, always doing the corners on the goalkeeper. Turkey played fantastic...the coach gave them a great tactic and the players showed heart. Germany had the better individuals and were ice cold. |

yeah true, totally undeserved.(no sarcasm, really) I'm so f***ing glad we won, there are many turkish people in my football club I couldnt have come to training or the games for years if we'd lost.

Ohwell another case of a "big" dog winning just because of individuals. Turkey played much better football and germany scraped through. I was anticipating extra time when a slack turkish defence let lahm through
The game had been interupted a few times before but the always ready had the five live commentary team on the ready. Saying that i much prefered them two to jon motson and martin lawrence, who is without doubt one of the worst commentators ive ever heard. The romantic final would have been turkey russia, but now we will eventually be put with germany spain, i just hope that the spanish take the germans apart

I didn't get to watch the game further than 1-1, but I heard a funny story from those who had watched it on Danish television. The image had disappeared for a moment, but it came back 5 minutes later. However, it was delayed, meaning that they were the 5 minutes "behind" compared to the actual match - yet the commentary was commenting on the 'actual' match. Suddenly, the commentators said "GOOOOAL" while what the tv-viewers was seeing was a bunch of players slowly getting started on their attack on their own part of the pitch
Anyway, I've said from the beginning that I think Germany will win this. Yet I had hoped for Turkey to do the sensation. It's absolutely fair that they are out now, but from what I have heard they played really well yesterday. That said, they have only been in the lead of a match for 6 minutes of the whole tournament. They reached the semi finals - that's more than approved |
