Alright i know you guys have your predictions league...but for those out there not in there...who you guys got pegged for stage 10? I"m going with kloden.
Being gutsy eh? everyone else thinks it's kloden BUT.
But, contador, top 10 for sure.

the point some of us are trying to make is that no one is as strong as most think. these inclines aren't the tour's 6-7%. they're tougher and not as constant (which is the reason italian climbers never win the tour), so they don't suit kloden. Contador seems to be designated team leader.
but...
- Contador is unpredictable at this stage. he seemed dead at the end of stage 7, while those chasing didn't, despite the fact that (after losing a bucketload of time when there was no organised chase) they moved much faster than the ones in front.
- The first mountain stage always throws up insane results that have no relation to the next mountain stages. saturday will give us much more of a "real" picture and sunday even more so.
- watch Di Luca explode completely on saturday
kloden isn't in top form, it seems. but it seems nobody is (except the saunier boys). right now about 8 different guys can win this, depending on circumstances. It's just completely unpredictable and anyone who predicts anything before sunday night is just outright guessing.

I heard Contador is riding with a crack on his elbow, so I'd be surprised to see him challenge all the way to Milan - I mean its not a life threatening thing or whatever but all it will take is another crash and that elbow could get a whole lot worse. Therefore, he might be holding back a bit in the TT's too. I hope he goes all the way to Milan though, hes my leader in the grand tour game and I already lost Arroyo! |

You could be right, you never know if these things are real or just bullshit for the other competitors. It is Bruyneel though, so it sounds more like spin the more I think about it... |

Because of the hilly ending, I also think that guys like Di Luca can do well.. The last 20kms are pretty tough i think
Today we'll probably see who we can expect to fight for the overall victory in the Giro, as todays TT will show us which riders that are in shape. |
