THE RACE

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/STORY%20SYMBOLS/TOGO-100KM.jpg

The first break of the day went away after just three kilometres and is still going strong, the riders in this are Baliani/Team Nippo, Locatelli/Colnago CSF Inox, Borisov/Amore & Vita, Vorobyev/Itera Katusha and Christensen/Team Saxo Bank. The lead is currently 4m 37s

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/030-GIRO%20DI%20TOSCANA/030-PIC4_zps3d91d2e6.jpg

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/STORY%20SYMBOLS/TOGO-80KM.jpg

The breakaway is on the second major climb of the day and are still managing to keep the pack at a distance

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/030-GIRO%20DI%20TOSCANA/030-PIC5_zps09bcda13.jpg

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/STORY%20SYMBOLS/TOGO-60KM.jpg

The lead has dropped below four minutes but they can recharge there batteries in the flat valley roads before they reach the next climb

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/030-GIRO%20DI%20TOSCANA/030-PIC6_zpsaea4ce34.jpg

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/STORY%20SYMBOLS/TOGO-40KM.jpg

Bosisio/Utensilnord Named has managed to make it across to the leaders and swell the group to six and give them hope of staying away

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/030-GIRO%20DI%20TOSCANA/030-PIC7_zps2cc9af1d.jpg

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/STORY%20SYMBOLS/TOGO-20KM.jpg

Bosisio/Utensilnord Named and Baliani/Team Nippo have managed to create a small gap on the descent of the final climb and with the route being totally flat to the finish they may fancy their chances of staying away

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/030-GIRO%20DI%20TOSCANA/030-PIC8_zps09df501a.jpg

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/STORY%20SYMBOLS/TOGO-10KM.jpg

Baliani is now alone as he reaches the coastal town of Arezzo but he only has twenty seconds advantage on the vastly reduced peleton

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/030-GIRO%20DI%20TOSCANA/030-PIC9_zps7c77f90c.jpg

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/STORY%20SYMBOLS/TOGO-5KM.jpg

Betancur/Acqua & Sapone is the latest rider to try his luck but it looks like it will be short lived as the peleton gears itself up for a sprint finish

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/030-GIRO%20DI%20TOSCANA/030-PIC10_zps880110e9.jpg

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/STORY%20SYMBOLS/TOGO-1KM.jpg

Elia Favilli of Farnese Vini comes shooting from nowhere as they pass under the red kite

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/030-GIRO%20DI%20TOSCANA/030-PIC11_zps8eb7128b.jpg

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/STORY%20SYMBOLS/checkeredflag1.gif

And he is just too fast for everyone else and claims a great win here in his native Italy

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/STORY%20SYMBOLS/tvsnow_zpsa3d2ca69.gif

And once again i manage to do my favourite trick and fail to take a picture of the win

Jakstar22 - I was concentrating so much on getting the pictures at the front of the race that i put the guys on 6 effort by mistake and it was too late to do anything once i had noticed, what a dumb arse Embarassed

Ian Butler - I was happy when they both accepted there respective offers Smile

Welwyn - If you mean as in Diabetics, unfortunately there isn't too many of them around Frown
