GIRO DI TOSCANA
Montecatini Terme – Arezzo – 179.5km
The first break of the day went away after just three kilometres and is still going strong, the riders in this are Baliani/Team Nippo, Locatelli/Colnago CSF Inox, Borisov/Amore & Vita, Vorobyev/Itera Katusha and Christensen/Team Saxo Bank. The lead is currently 4m 37s
The breakaway is on the second major climb of the day and are still managing to keep the pack at a distance
The lead has dropped below four minutes but they can recharge there batteries in the flat valley roads before they reach the next climb
Bosisio/Utensilnord Named has managed to make it across to the leaders and swell the group to six and give them hope of staying away
Bosisio/Utensilnord Named and Baliani/Team Nippo have managed to create a small gap on the descent of the final climb and with the route being totally flat to the finish they may fancy their chances of staying away
Baliani is now alone as he reaches the coastal town of Arezzo but he only has twenty seconds advantage on the vastly reduced peleton
Betancur/Acqua & Sapone is the latest rider to try his luck but it looks like it will be short lived as the peleton gears itself up for a sprint finish
Elia Favilli of Farnese Vini comes shooting from nowhere as they pass under the red kite
And he is just too fast for everyone else and claims a great win here in his native Italy
And once again i manage to do my favourite trick and fail to take a picture of the win

Jakstar22 - I was concentrating so much on getting the pictures at the front of the race that i put the guys on 6 effort by mistake and it was too late to do anything once i had noticed, what a dumb arse
Ian Butler - I was happy when they both accepted there respective offers
Welwyn - If you mean as in Diabetics, unfortunately there isn't too many of them around |

RUTLAND - MELTON CLASSIC
Oakham – Melton Mowbray – 206.4km
House/Rapha Condor-Sharp, Davis/Node4-Giordana, Kuznetsov/Itera Katusha, Tanguy/UK Youth, Watson/Team Jayco, Hawkins/IG Sigma Sport and Holmes/Team Raleigh are the riders that have formed the break of the day and they have got themselves a lead of over four minutes
With the pack not interested at the moment the gap is being kept above the four minute mark
Kristian House is spending a lot of time at the back of the break and conserving a lot of energy, he must have a plan up his sleeve
An Post Sean Kelly are beginning to gather at the front of the peleton as they prepare to start chasing down the riders ahead of them
As the peleton close in at the twenty kilometre to go banner TanguyUK Youth decides he is not about to surrender just yet and so goes away on his own
He was caught within two kilometres as the peleton gobbled up all the riders from the break, but almost immediately Jungels/Leopard Trek Continental leapt out of the pack and decided to have is go
He has thirty five seconds advantage at the moment
The peleton just can't seem to close the gap, can he hang on until the end
And he times it to perfection, what a great piece of riding that was
