Oh Stauff. Just the other day I was praising him and now he goes and does something this stupid.
Come on isso, I can't see any move which I really would consider irregular there.
I'm sure Stauff was fully concentrated on his sprint (impressive btw) and had no time to actively block Cav.
Also I've seen worse movements than this, and if Cav is not able to be at the front in this moment, he won't find much free space on this narrow road.

I've been told by 3 people already that Stauff blocked Cavendish. Are you guys saying he didn't?
Can someone who's not german or british answer me, please?

Definitely nothing wrong from Stauff. Cavendish either didn't have the legs to go for it when he should've, or made a bad mistake by leaving it extremely late.
Excuse me, I have to go yell at a person or three

Cavendish didn't have the legs. He pulled out from Stauff's slipstream for a couple of moments and it looked like he's not making any progress. Then Petacchi changed his line and the job was done.

The video from Eurosport France above is not the best shot - the overhead shot is much better at showing that Cavendish really didnt have a chance to until it was too late
Shouldn't we talk about the impressive performance by a neo-pro rather than discussing about an (unconscious) block against a badly positioned Cavendish?
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand we're back to the Xorret de Catà today

There's been a bunch of crashes today. Petacchi and Arroyo are in pretty bad shape. Still riding, though.

Gabriel Rasch is ridiculous........ He is in studio at norwegian Eurosport, and he says that Xorret de Catà reminds a lot about the second category climb they had on the stage Hushovd won. The only difference, which according to him was a minimal difference, is that Catà is a little bit steeper.
If he thinks the climb is that easy, he will be surprised, and there might be some epic commentating by Rasch on Catà today
Wonder what he will say when it all gets blown up, and only a very few riders will be capable to follow Anton/Rodriguez, or whoever who is strongest today.....
EDIT: And he is saying this, eventhough he rode the climb last year

Pretty lame how that Banesto rider was celebrating his victory
Chaba, like his relative Sastre, was very much an introvert.
In the peak years of his career, when he attacked nobody could follow.
In that 98 Vuelta, the last climb of every mountain stage was basically "there goes Chaba flying off again. Wonder how much time he's going to take out of the favourites today"
