Today's stage is extremly flat, so who do you consider as a potentional winner? Something says me, that Quick.Step won't let the breakawy, so Bettini is the one? There's still plenty of riders, whose didn't show themselves, like Bodrogi, Florencio (ou, he's out of race, I didn't notice ) , Arrieta (won stage last year, if I am right), Gustov is always in breakaway, and my hero Kreuziger said he would really like get into breakaway. |

Bettini probably won't take part in the sprint. he hasn't for many days now. even when it's for the stage win.
it's between Petacchi, Bennati or a possible surprise by someone who wouldn't normally be considered

My prediction came true: Arrieta and Kreuziger were in the early breakaway, but now Juan Olmo and Jorge GarcÃa are in the lead of race .
Those two have only small chances on winning, so the stage will definitely end in mass sprint. Quick Step is pulling the pack forward, so is clear, that Bettini will take in final sprint. |

it really is strange. and if Quick.Step is pulling, Bettini must have decided he'll be going for it again...

bettini said he'd quit wednesday, so today so I think it makes sense if he'd be trying to win one last time before quitting |

I think Bettini will quit tommorow or today, but beföre that he wants to get a win, then he will be calm and concentrated only for that WC, but I don't really think he'll win.
There weren't too many people, who won WC more times consecutive (only George Ronsse (1928-1929), Rik van Steenbergen (1956-1957), Rik Van Looy (1960-1961) and last time it was Italian for first time Gianni Bugno (1991-1992)).
So Bettini match the requiments (because only an Italian or Belgian can win more times consecutive ) and also plays important role that last time in Stuttgart won an Italian - Gianni Bugno, so if will Bettini win, he would be second Italian who would win in Stuttgart and second Italian who won WC two times in a row.
They look almost similar, don't you think?

Bettini wasn't wearing the points jersey today even though he was leading. that pretty much guarantees he's quitting.
