Boasson Hagen
Goldberger
Im saying that there are several other norwegian riders beside the top 4 that can finish the WC. Proved by Lars Petter Nordhaug last year(57th).

But yes the other guys will probably work like slaves for Arvesen, Hushovd and Hagen, and abandonWink But that's what happens to domestiques from the big country's too.

What Boasson Hagen will be capable of doing will all depend on what he will focus on over the next few years. I think he'll struggle to become a great GT rider, but can become a great sprinter, cobbled rider or hilly rider, as well as a great TTer, but it's all down to what he will focus on. However, it could be possible for him to become at top ten contender for GTs if he really applies himself to that goal, but somehow I doubt that he will.

He won't become a great cobble rider, he can become a good domestique in cobble races, not more than that.

Why do you think that?

He thinks that because he doesn't know anything about cycling, i'm sorry but that's whyWink

I do believe Schleck93 knows a fair bit. Especially because he doesnt suffer from the norweigan bias attached to EBH Wink

That was quite a mean attack there, now if someone said that to you, would you accept the "I'm sorry". The answer is probally no.

I don't want to be meanShock, but first he says Norway only have 3 riders that can finish the WC, and then he says that Boasson Hagen who has already won Gent-Wevelgem and has every characteristics to be a great cobble rider, probably wont be nothing more than a good domestique in those races.

I strongly disagree on both statements.............

He says that because Gent Wevelgem really isn't a hard cobble race like Paris-Roubaix and Ronde van Vlaanderen Wink

well I have to say that winning Gent Wevelgem in front of the cobblestones super star Kuschynski is really impressive.

But looking at Boasson Hagen, his strength, body weight e.t.c. He has the potential to be a contender for such races in the future.

I know he wasn't anywhere near the front of Vlaanderen or roubaix this year. But you also have to take into account that helped Hincapie there.

Gent-Wevelgem isn't a cobbles race and means nothing for Hagen's future ability in the northern classics.

However, there's no doubt in my mind that Hagen can one day be a serious contender in Roubaix, or even, who knows, in Flanders.

Exacly.. i asked few weeks ago..how Hagen will manage with cobble surface .
Because he is that power type rider who can be good some day..

Exactly, but it all depends what type of races Edvald or his trainers/team wants him to focus on.

the word "can" is here important
It depends how he will evolve in next years

*still tries to come up with a reason for this thread*
