I would hate to be right, but i can think of some performances last year that were "impressive"

Turns out it may just be the papers wrongly reporting it. The AFLD's conference isn't likely to be about this.
Makes sense. The tests started last week. it's too soon.

Is Carlos Sastre indicated in any media leaks of this retesting and what seems to be the popular opinion of people in the Daily community. Doped? or Not?
I'd like to think that he's clean but that's just based on some interviews I've seen with him (not about doping but just about his take on cycling and why he loves it) and how inconsistant he can be as a rider, Then again 15 of the top 20 having suspicious values doesn't bode well for 1st or for the sport as a whole for that matter.
Just curious what you guys think
Thanks In Advance
Shifty

Sastre's brother in law and best friend, also a cyclist, died in a dope related incident, so it is likely he doped at some point.

Don't be fooled by a rider's quotes. Just look at the last one in my signature, below.
Also, some riders are more or less consistent. Doesn't seem to have much to do with whether or not they dope.

It wasn't so much a quote as it was his views on cycling. he said something to the effect of "It's all about what I learn about myself when I ride hard and suffer, having a good result is not my main concern"
That doesn't sound like something a doper would say in a regular interview.
But I don't get too confident in any of these guys anymore.Just thought that sounded hopeful.
Do you think he dopes?

I ride for the moment. For the feeling. For the people that support me. For me the bike is an expression of my feelings. It is my paintbrush that I use on the canvas. I use it to make art, not to race. It's why I attack: to be alone on the climbs where the others aren't interfering.
A quote by Marco Pantani. One of the more obvious dopers in history.

I won't post my opinion or the Saxo fanboys would rip my head off
Let's just say that comparing current climbing powers with those from before EPO use started, Sastre's performances are far beyond the possible for a clean human.

That is quite funny, Isso. It's something kind of "I won't say I think Sastre has doped, but I think Sastre has doped". Not that I think the opposite.

I wouldn't think that the Saxo fanboys would kill isso for saying that Sastre is doped. But, if he says what is behind of Sastre's doping (Fränk, Andy, Cancellara, etc, etc), then they'd become dangerous |

You don't want to find out what happens when you mention Breschel is a Cecchini client

I'm Spanish, do you remember that? Imagine what happens here when I say something about Contador. Or Valverde. Or Sastre. Or...
There are even people who think that Fuentes didn't dope all of his clients |

He's a gynecologist. Clearly they were just paying for training advice

I know it's not about the Tour of 2008, but it is about the 2009 Tour. This years Tour de France was the first TdF were UCI had responsibility for taking drug tests and not AFLD.
In a report written in LeMonde AFLD concludes that Astana got tested in a favourable way compared with other teams. AFLD says that the testers came later in the mornings to Astana than to other teams and that the testers gave Astana's riders better time to prepare for the drug tests than riders on other teams.
Wonder how much Armstrong and Bruyneel paid them for that?
Here's the link to a norwegian website that has taken it from LeMonde:

I must say there are either an unimaginable number of people who hate Armstrong and Co. and make up rumors about him which would be incriminating or the man is a master at not leaving evidence, he should try his hand at bank heists after he retires.
P.S. in the Velonews article about this there is a picture of Armstrong and Contador, and Contador has one of the greatest hats I've ever seen, It's just a hand doing his "Pistola" salute. Classic.

There's plenty of evidence. Which is why when Armstrong threatens anyone he always settles it out of court: he knows that if it goes to court he's screwed.
I made a post on this a while ago. I think I listed every piece of evidence of his doping I know of. If you're interested it should be somewhere on the cycling forum. Searching for the word "liaison" will probably find it.

So Isso which riders in the pro peloton aren't doped? Besides Casar and Monfort lol. Not saying I disagree that some riders are doped but you seem to think they all are. Call me optimistic but I'd like to think otherwise.
