He fell on one of those white lines, maybe he's been hanging out with Boonen a little to much lately... |

I've always wondered why nobody has invented a non slippery compound for the white lines. They are like soap when wet.

I think it's a big assumption that Thor would get second.
Thor is the 2nd best sprinter in the race. I would actually be suprised if he didn't get 2nd in Paris.
It's possible he could win, he could come 5th, but the most likely outcome (based on conditions of other sprinters) he will be 2nd.
Is he?
Farrar is 3 - 2 in terms of finishing ahead of Thor in sprints they both took part in.
Thor is the best climbing sprinter... but in the flat stages he might be 3rd at best. |

This Cavendish-Hushovd debate is getting annoying. They should open a new thread. And it seems a lot of people forgot that the green jersey has been won a lot of times by non pure sprinters, so dismissing Hushovd because he isn't a pure climber is not very reasonable.

I loved this joke from a recent Bill Simmons column:
Widescreen TVs make it easier to see the field; HD makes it easier to see faces and numbers (and the grass looks green and vibrant); and better camerawork (and also more cameras) make the games more intimate. Now you feel like the players are flopping right onto your living room rug! Just kidding, soccer fans. Seriously, settle down. Jokes.
EDIT: he was talking about why he thinks international soccer (Premiership, Serie A, etc., etc.) will take off it the US

I will post no further on this subject now that Hushovd has probably scraped enough points to make Cavendish' DQ irrelevant. |

I have no problem with Thor winning it.
I was cheering for him to win it before stages 13 and 14.
But winning it through complaining to get a DQ in a sprint for 13th place... and complaining because you got outsprinted in a mountain stage... that's turned me off considerably.
He's not a better sprinter then Cav... that's clear. But I was a fan and was hoping he'd win until his actions in this tour. Using intelligence and climbing ability to win the green over a better sprinter in the flats = great.
Complaining for a DQ to get it = VERY VERY LAME. |

Can't follow your logic...the ride of Cavendish officially (not my opinion) was against the rules, so Cavendish has to be blamed and not the one who's making the complaint. But enough for that...
Let's hope for a spectacular finish and fingers crossed for Menchov, that he can finish this stage! |

[sarcasm]OMG! Cavendish moved 2 feet to the right which is the side Hushovd was on!!!!!!! He must be DQ'd despite the fact that he got nowhere near touching Hushovd, that riders touch in sprints all the time, and that Hushovd had nowhere near enough power to come through!!! That was completely illegal, and Cav deserves to be DQ'd[/sarcasm]
