Yea, it will be great to see an Australian win a stage this year. |

Can't argue. Success in Flanders, Milano-Sanremo and Paris-Roubaix... good early season sprint results... now climbing with Chavanel and descending like a madman in the tour... I've been impressed. |

If Haussler wins today I think Hushovd has been officially dethroned following this tour. |

Let's hope he is not called by the DS to wait for Sastre.

About that: More than one DS at Cervélo has said that it was Pauwels' fault because Pauwels only dropped back about 20 minutes after being told to...by which time it wasn't necessary any more |

Yes, because we need one more thing like the '86 tour |

Possibly... but I don't think a breakaway win will have an impact on who the lead dog in the sprints is. Other results from this year might though. |

Probably not, Hushovd is still a better sprinter, and was doing better at P-R before he crashed.
Besides, Hushovd is wily veteran who knows what hes doing and how to do it. Haussler still needs a little more experience. |

Okay... someone predict the action on the last climb.
Saxo going to pull something? Astana? Cadel (since he really doesn't have a team)? Pelizotti for mountain points?
I can't think Cervelo will with Haussler having that lead... they don't want to help pull their man back. |

Unless he blows, I THINK that Haussler should be far enough ahead that Sastre could launch a late attack on the climb. 2 minutes at the summit should be enough of a lead for Haussler to finish it off, meaning he can give up 4 on the way up.
EDIT: Versus now has the peloton at 7:30 back, which means Haussler is definitely making it. Nice win for him.

maybe the reason why we have no positives in this tour is that the french are not longer testing, it's the corrupt UCI... |
