With Michael Rasmussen's end of suspension coming closer, the news about him also get more and more intensive.
Previously, Rasmussen said that he was negotiating with a Pro Tour team and a Pro Continental team. And he said that he wanted to ride Post Danmark Rundt as the first race after the suspension.
Today, the story is that there's a contract ready to be signed - the condition is that Michael Rasmussen is allowed to compete in Post Danmark Rundt (Tour of Denmark). It's also said that the team is already invited, and more importantly, that the team is Italian. 2 + 2 = Ceramica Flaminia. The only Italian team which is participating in the Tour of Denmark. Plus, it makes sense that they want to hire Michael Rasmussen, considering the fact that they had no problems signing with Ricco.
Anyway, I don't quite see why Ceramica would demand that Rasmussen participates in the Tour of Denmark. Sure, it would increase their 'sponsorship awareness' in Denmark, but it isn't really their primary market, I'd say... |

But a dream team in the mountains in the next years Giro. Rasmussen attack, Liquid Gas send up Smyd, and Ricco fly away. |

Haha i realized it a long time ago.. It was Eddy Merckx who disliked Ricco because he was doped, but liked Basso because he's done his time..
Wrong!
My favourite rider have been Basso since 2003 not because of that he has taken his punishment. |

Does anyone know if Matthias Kessler is planning a comeback? His suspension runs out this month.
Edit: Same with Iban Mayo?

Whether he's basque is irrelevant. Euskaltel only sign riders who have ridden for Basque youth teams, irrespective of whether they're basque
If you're basque and you've never ridden for a basque youth/elite team, they won't sign you under any circumstances.
The easiest and thus most often quoted example is that Samuel Sánchez isn't basque |
