And thats why I chose every single single day hilly race I could, and avoided ALL stage races with mountains apart from one Italian one. Hills are the way forward.

That is partly why I chose very few one day races and more stage races and virtually no cobbled races, I went after my teams strengths. It should be amazing to see the season pan out with so many teams and so many new managers.
But then again, we have to assume that all managers will try to suit the races to their riders |

Not all managers are that smart, or knowledgeable...I think you will see some poor use of talent and calendar planning (two or three races at the same time) because they like this race or that race etc. Either way I love your review and thank you for your hard work and kind words about my team. |

Yeah because us, the new mangers, don't have a lot of experience with this, just a short experience of how the things go in PCM 08, I think that Sony Ericsson won't have a real opponent in their way back in Pro Tour and teams like BMC or Wiggle will be higher than your prediction (which is made only after the riders stats).
I still hope that I did the best choices for the races to ride.

Exactly my strategy as well, although I am doing some pointains as well, hoping for breakaway wins on the transitions stages with my weaker riders.

Very nice preview, SotD. Will be interesting to see how good your predicition are. But it's damn hard to predict, especially when we don't know which races everybody will be in. Plus the transition to PCM 08.
And as if that wasnt enough, theres the new ranking system too |

Holy jesus! Will be interesting to see how that plays out when you can score more points by taking KOM jersey and so on...
EDIT: Or did I missunderstood you? Thought you wrote scoring system at first.

Overall, this team lacks a lot, but the two main stars will make up for a lot.
I built this team for one purpose...To win stage races, I had no idea that so much talent would "trickle" down from the ProTour. For being only the second year I think my little team that could is destined for some big wins.
Great report, thanks for your efforts.
Edit:I mean you go out and sign the CT champ from last year, and still get picked to finish in the same spot you did last year...Oh well that much sweeter when I take top-5.
Haedo was the CT champ last year.
It went down to the last stage of the tour du faso
And as for 19th placed prediction, I like being underestimated

My strategy as well.
Nice work on the preview too, SotD.
I'd be more than happy (and surprised) with 5th - my main goal is to go well in Italian races. |

I think you are underrestimating my team (quiet surprising ) as I've went for a well balanced team instead of a team with a few good riders and rest is pure crap

Wii Racing? What the hell happened to them?
Yes, Wiggle have done a lot better than I was expecting. Thought they would win big next season not this. |

Wii Racing was managerless until Bushwackers took control of them.
About my team, the prediction is fairly accurate if we don't count with Wii Racing and British Airways. |
