Nice work - They deserved it! they deserve even more (minimum one more penalty). Citizens are really awful.
Trust me - it isn´t easy to be their fan Endure Third league, and these away games... Not much to fun - I feel like some kind of masochist just now:))) I hope that someday..... |

I can only hope that they won't end up winning the Cup. |

man city won't win. they're terrible away from home. no disrespect to who they played last night but if you want to win the UEFA cup then you've got to be winning games like that comfortably. when they come up against an established European team (again no disrespect) they'll get murdered away from home. |

The french ref was HORRIBLE AaB should have got atleast 2 penalties in the second half, once there was 2 penalties to AaB in under 10 seconds! And the fact that City should have got one in overtime is just another proof of how bad he was, he was so out of control, unbelievable that such a man can get such a big match. But in other news than the ref, I was very impresseb by Lasse Nielsen that played his first UEFA match from start, coming in as a reserve, playing a great match having Shaun Wright-Phillips and Ireland totally under control. And i was also impressed by Marcus Tracy coming from being MVP in american college football to making his debut for AaB and playing very well, with an unbelievable strenght in the air, beating Dunne several times.

Well, AaB was the best team yesterday, however 2-0 in Manchester ruined it.
If everything goes well, some years from now we'll have some more experienced players, then we'll be the ones to defend teams like Manchester City, Deportivo La Coruña and Celtic every time
Btw., I was really impressed by Marcus Tracy. He really was a challenge for the City defense. Same goes for Luton Shelton and Nomvethe.

Nomwethe has showed before that he can play well (which mostly happends against big teams ) and when he plays well he's good enough to play in a starting 11 in big teams in europe, but he's very unconsistent. And with all respect for football in america, but american college football ain't much better than the 3rd best danish division, but well the americans call him "the american Henry"

How is Nomvethe doing? I just noticed last night he played for Aalborg. South Afirca really need anyone who is vaguely competent at scoring goals.

his penalty was really insane!
btw schleck yesterday wasn't the best of the days to praise the referees job... I can remember Braga and Zenit being actively punished by the the judges job.

Yeah , my enduring memory of him is during 2002 WC when he scored from a free kick with a brilliant knee. Although it looks like he has mover from forward to midfield

He's used as winger in AaB where he does good, he has many good crosses, and he goes inside the field a lot aswell.

Nomvethe did really well yesterday, actually. He had some impressing runs towards the City goal, where he got past 2-4 City players.
One of his best matches I can remember in AaB. I really hope AaB extend his contract.
About the ref; well, yeah, maybe it was a penalty, maybe it wasn't. He wasn't really that bad though. He mastered the advantage rule really nice.

I agree about the ref - I retract my comment that I made during the match. He wasn't all that bad, he had some weird calls here and there, but that happens in all matches
Nomvethe -- how can you 'place' a penalty in penalty shoot out like he did? |

I don't know... The whole stadium froze while his shot was in the air. It was like time stood still.
