Stage 5
Queen stage of Tour is here! Quite short, but with very long and hard climb in finish.
Taken from Daily Peloton:
Genting (1679.2m) is a monster. The peloton enters via forested roads with hardly a chance to glimpse the summit. In fact the summit isn't one as we know it from European races. The mountain is crowned by a massive entertainment resort with the finish set amongst towering buildings. Built as a retreat from the sweltering heat of Kuala Lumpur it does its job well. As the riders climb what feels like an ever steepening road so the temperature drops quickly. Quite often the top is shrouded in mist which parts just enough to remind riders just how far they have to go. There is a noticeable change in the air from the heavy heat of the valley to the thin air of altitude. The mountain then gets you from all angles - length, steepness and lack of oxygen. More than anything it tests the spirit.

Our main goal is clear. To give forget for yesterday´s disaster! Depends on condition, our climbers will do their best today. All my squad is in very good shape (fitness about 90), opponents must taste our power!
End of swagger talking, let´s take a look at course.
First half of stage was calm, group of 16 riders is ahead with 3 minutes advantage for peloton.
10km to go and it´s all together, AG27 set the pace in front. I´m pretty sure the real battle is about start!
And that´s it! Ptires opens attack, together with Badajali, Roche and Rujano! Come on Jose!
Peloton splits to many groups, Zubeldia with Moncoutie are leading the first one, Roche´s group is still in front.
Rujano sets his own pace and drops his fellows from escape!
Roche´s mini group is caught by main contenders, Rujano is still ahead!
And Jose Rujano is the winner, what an excellent ride!
Maxim Iglinskiy sprints ahead of Carlos Sastre 1:35 later.

What a satisfaction for our team. This victory is very valuable for our team and sponsors.
Only 2 flat stage are ahead of us, with no hills, so we can´t fight for KOM jersey anymore. Rubens Bertogliatti will wear yellow jersey tomorrow, but must be aware of sprinter skill of Nicolas Roche, who is only 7s behind. It could be very thrilling end of Tour!

Bertogliati is in good position but..Is he your favorite to the final win??
What happened with Medina? You think he could be with the leaders?? |

Medina protected Rujano untill decisive attack and then he wasn´t able to catch with other climbers. And second thing, Rujano had daily form +3, while Medina -1. |

And about Bertogliatti, his chance will depend whether peloton let go away some weaker riders untill finish. If not, I think Roche will make some podium place(s) - 2nd or 3rd after Hushovd of course - and will be the winner. |

Stage 6
6th stage is flat, we are satisfied with previous stage victory and will do nothing.
There were many breakaway today, up to 20 riders in front, but nothing important hapenned untill....Sastre punctures! Bad luck for 6th man in GC.
Hushovd takes another victory. Roche is the second and is new overall leader!

Rujano is top 10 now!!! but.. of course you are repenting for the fall that have private you to win this race..and no doubt, roche is going to win the GC like you predict!
what is your next race? who is going to be the leader??
Will Medina be the leader in some races or is he always being the rujano´s luxury team mate?? |

I don´t think Rujano would win without that fall, maybe he could be 4th or 5th, who knows. And I´m more happy to win prestigious mountain stage then to be 4th overall.
Next race will be Volta ao Algarve. That race doesn´t suite to my team so I don´t expect any results there.
It´s hard to have more leaders, when I have only 8 riders But don´t worry, Medina will have one special task |

Ok, I´m not worried. I know nothing about your team. Only Rujano, who is a great climber, and, about the others, can you talk me about them?? |

Only Medina could reach some good results, but I think he won´t much improve in future.
And other riders? Vasquez already won 1 stage in Tachira, that was great success for him. I have no sprinters, no more climbers, no time trialist, no good young riders with huge potential. I have six good water carriers here.
This team is all about Rujano and only rarely about some other |

i had two good scouts in my previous career. I played more than half season and they´ve founded two shitty riders together, I was happy with their effort |

Stage 7
Last flat stage of this race. We´ll try break with Chacon, but don´t expect any great things.
Chacon really joins breakaway group, but their chances to succeed are very small.
Here is mass sprint and Hushovd collects his 4th stage victory ahead of Rebellin and Roche. Quite boring Only interesting thing - Serpa crashed and Rujano moves on nice 9th position in GC!

At this moment my team is second overall in team ranking, so it would be very hard to say "I´m not satisfied"
I think only Medina can (and I hope he will) improve his results. |

Volta ao Algarve
Welcome in Portugal. Volta ao Algarve is five stage long race, with individual time trial and some hilly stages. Climbs are quite steep, but short, so there is no real chance to build decisive advantage and hold it untill finish. No stage finishes on hill too. It means we have only little chances to succees here. However all our riders will join the race. 17 teams both UCI Pro and Continental will participate, 136 riders is here. Main favourites should be Karpets, Gusev, Ignatiev from very strong Katusha team, leader of Garmin Vandevelde or Van den Broeck from Silence. But here are many very strong riders who can think about top positions.
Stage 1
Our goal is to gain some mountain points or even KOM jersey.
Peloton was calm after start, there were no real attacks. First summit and Vasquez is fastest man and gains 6 points. Soler is 2nd ahead of Knees.
Keizer form Rabobank CT attacked in downhill and went alone in front, but he was caught just before 2nd summit. Vasquez tried to attack, but without success. Soler is the first and will wear KOM jersey tomorrow.
No more attacks followed, Oscar Freire wins in mass sprint and secures yellow jersey for tomorrow stage.
