Anyway, two tidbits, Contador and Lance will train together for the first time later this week, and Sen. Chuck Schumer of New York sent a letter to the U.S. Cycling federation asking them to allow a major pro-am bike race, the Tour of Battenkill or something like that, to take the place of the TdG as on the UCI America calendar. The initial application was denied for a number of reason, but maybe it will go through with this, who knows. |

Team Saxo Bank won't be in trouble concerning the missing sponsor money from IT Factory. Danske Bank (a Danish bank) had given a bank guarantee on the money although Riis and Nygaard said there wasn't any -- maybe they just didn't know? |
