Bordry said that the tests went as follows:
Day before stage 1: All riders tested
Every other day:
- 1 team was randomly selected and all of its riders tested
- 4 riders of other teams were randomly selected and testede
- stage winner and yellow jersey tested
All days from stages 4 to 11:
- Riccardo Riccò tested for trying to run away the first time they wanted to test him
He also said that no data from the UCI was used, neither from the blood passport, nor otherwise. This was because the UCI refused to hand it over.

I'm very sorry, I forgot the most important part:
When tests revealed suspicious values, the riders were re-tested whenever the AFLD felt like it. On a side note, I still remember F.Schleck saying he "felt like a pin cushion" for being tested so many times. This was in the first week, before he had the jersey. |

So, with Ivan Basso being the new role model of clean cycling, who's next? According to Vasseur, Michael Rasmussen could very well turn out to 'that guy' ...
Oh my...

Cedric Vasseur did also say that Rasmussen deserved one more chance, and could turn out to be a new Millar... |

I stumbled upon this interview with Lance Armstrong: https://www.velone...to-simeoni
Remember when Armstrong chased down Simeoni in 2004 TdF due to his statements about Dr. Ferrari? Armstrong now claims that he actually didn't chase Simeoni down - no, he just sat on his wheel, and without Lance's knowledge, they had managed to break away.
“First off, I did not chase Simeoni down,” Armstrong said. “I was simply following his wheel. That is the truth of the matter. I never bridged across to Simeoni. He was in front of me, people were attacking, he accelerated, and I stayed on the wheel. We have footage of the race that will back that up. There was never more than bike length between us. There was no gap closed. There’s a big difference between following wheels and closing a gap.”
Armstrong said he’d naturally expected the peloton to follow, and was surprised to see that the pair had opened a gap when they reached the day’s breakaway a few kilometers later.
“I was completely shocked when I turned around and there was no one on my wheel,” Armstrong said. “I was fully expecting to see the rest of the group, because I was in the [yellow] jersey. But Simeoni pulled for two minutes, and I followed his wheel. That’s racing. He really was a minor story that day. I knew T-Mobile would have to work, and that was good for us, to make your biggest adversaries work to chase down a break. It was two minutes at the biggest gap, and that meant they would have to work hard to chase us down.”
I can't believe what I'm reading. He can't seriously believe that himself.
Can anyone find video of this? I could not. I don't know who to believe. Did LA bridge the gap or did he just follow wheels? |

Classic, Lance. Here's what's scary, he probably DOES believe that in his head by this point... |

What? Have Ricco been banned twice, including this year? I have for sure missed something...
Paolo Bettini won the 6 days of Milan together with Llaneras. That was a great final race from Bettini, even though he crashed.
Long live Bettini! |

I wanted to say that if he would make a comeback he will again get banned 'cause he will never stop dopping

Sella is possibly going to get a reduce of his 2 years ban. Probably he is just going to get banned in 1 year because he co-operated with the anti-doping guys...The case is sended to Italy's disciplinary comission, says Danilo di Tommaso in CONI.....
Wonder when they are going to put the hammer down on the dopers, I'm looking forward to that day.. |

Sigh.. The most obvious doper gets his ban reduced. I think that they should make it the opposite. If they do not cooperate they will get a 4 year ban. If they do, 2 years. |

I do definately agree, it is to resign of, the anti-doping work seems so acting-paralytical in cases like this. They have to do something... |

Ullrich will meet in the court tomorrow in Dusseldorf. It's about missing wages from 2003 from Team Coast. At first, Günther Dahms, team owner, was to pay the wages of 1,46 million €, but Dahms appealed it, saying that Ullrich had been doped during his time at Team Coast thus making the contract invalid.
So, tomorrow is basically: Was Ullrich doped in 2003 or not |

I hate things like that. He's gone from the sport, it only brings a bad name to cycling if he's found guilty. Nothing will be accomplished by trying to find out if he was doped. |

And hopefully; a lot of truth too... |
