Hello BB
We are now able to announce our 2nd signing of the Transfer Window. A different type of rider and a different nationality but the level of excitement is still very much the same.
Welcome to the team, Bruno Borges! The Portuguese Puncheur joins us from Indosat for a fee of 1,000,000 and on a wage of 400,000. We thank his former manager, Eden95, for the ease in which the negotiations took place.
Bruno has been a consistent performer at PCT level having finished 38th in the PCT Rankings last season highlighted by a win in the Tour of South Africa as well as 2 3rd places in one day classics. He was 30th in 2021, as part of a promoting Duolingo, and 25th in 2020.
Although he's not getting any younger, now at 32, we believe that Borges is in for a fantastic season in which he will lead us in the hilly classics and in shorter stage races where he will be ably supported by the likes of Mas and Fernandez. He'll also have a role in guiding and teaching our next generation in the form of Finkler, De la Cruz and Miquel.

Awesome rider and fits right into your team fairly seamlessly - I’m sure you’ll look after him well

That's definitely a PT worthy puncheur, can't say I'm mad he's out of PCT. Congratz on another great signing!

Oscar is the One
Our third signing of the transfer window and, although he won't be a team leader like the previous 2, he is of no less importance to the team!
Oscar is our first, and may well be the only, Spanish rider to join us during this transfer window. He joins from the Free Agency on a wage of 160,000 after a slightly prolonged battle for his services.
He is particularly strong in the mountains but capable also on the shorter, punchier climbs as well as being able to hold himself up against the clock. We therefore expect that he will be able to bring his experience to support in classics, stage races and grand tours across all terrains.
At only 28 years of age, we believe he will be able to call ZARA home for much of the rest of his career. Our sponsors could not be happier with his signing and we know he is a rider that we, and our fans, will enjoy seeing in our colours.

Congrats, Oscar is a fantastic fit for your team - and a great rider anyway! Would've loved to get him as a younger Masnada alternative, but yeah, I thought bidding for a Spaniard against a Spanish team would be kind of hopeless
Bruno is obviously another great signing, and should definitely be very helpful in your fight for survival! Wish you all the best - may you and your TTers not join us down in PCT again next year

Wellens, Borges and Rodriguez are 3 good riders, adding to what was already a very strong team to start off

Totally no bias but any signing named Oscar is a worldie in my books. Your team is shaping up nicely for PT. Good luck mate!

Your team is shaping up nicely. Rodriguez was amongst my favourite free agents and is coming at a very competitive wage. And Borges adds another roster to the squad. Good job!
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

I wish I could share the enthusiasm about Rodriguez, but, hey, maybe the new game will show us more of his 2021 self rather than what we got last season.
The team already looked pretty good before the transfers, but now it looks like you are set for a nice PT adventure.

We're simultaneously sad that Wellens won't be riding with us this year and delighted that he'll be riding for such an excellent team. Borges and Rodriguez mean this team is shaping into a strong one.

I had an eye on Oscar Rodriguez, but that wage would not have been for me. Also, your team is definitely a more fitting home for him. Congratulations!

We are Happy with Gilmore
Our final signing of the transfer window and it's one to generate a lot of excitement both now and for years to come. Signed from the Free Agency in the final hours, we present to you...
Brady Gilmore
Age: 22 | Pot: 6 | Lvl: 1.00
Wage: 140,000
FLA | MO | HIL | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SPR | ACC | FTR | DH | PRO | 68 | 53 | 54 | 71 | 70 | 65 | 65 | 58 | 60 | 72 | 73 | 68 | 71 | 75 | 54 | 57 | 80 | 77 | 74 | 72 | 58 | 60 | 72 | 78 | 69 | 80 |
Brady is an incredibly talented young rider and we believe he was the best young TT rider available this season and so we are very pleased that we have been able to sign him for what we believe is a very reasonable first year wage of 140,000.
We know he will be a star rider for us in the future and so we couldn't be happier that he is on our books. He also becomes the first Australian to ride in the team which, given the manager's newly formed close ties to the country, is perhaps not too big a surprise that this has come when it has.
The unfortunate drawback here is he will have his development slowed due to financial restrictions and time constraints which came with him joining us very late in the window. He will however gain valuable experience both in the Pro Tour and in the Tour of the Future later in the year. |

Some brilliant stuff there - although I really had hoped for you to pick Koretzky over Borges. He would have looked so cool in his Tricolore riding for your setup.

140k for a maxed 80 TTer is very good business indeed

While others are releasing their rosters for the season, we have decided to first shine a light on the youth of today or, as I prefer to call them, investments into a sustainable future.
Otherwise known as the Zara Talent Factory, The Zara Talent Academy is once again in full force having provided careers to many. Some of these riders are exploring pastures new but many of them have remained with us to lead our success and drive us to where we are today.
So, here we are with 8 riders very much a part of the academy going into 2023. We show their current abilities and the development paths we have planned for them. We are of course open to your input!

Brilliant list of talents, with a very nice fit to your setup. Obviously Gilmore is the stand out guy with his 80TT. But also limited by his horrible MO/HI. Luckily he's young, and +2HI pr. season would give him 67HI for a very limited fee.
I would probably have developped Finkler the CLv2 path already last season. I think he would have ended up with 72MO, and the same ACC, and a more well rounded physical attributes of around 73. I'm note sure the added FL and SPR will make any difference at this level.
Can't say I don't enjoy those talent developments though. They are great

Boy if McDonald's wasn't a rival of my main sponsor i'd be saying that I'm lovin' it.
Amazing batch of talents, and although you might not officially be a latin american team the 'Spanish-language' focus is there and it's great to see. I've said it many times before and I'll keep saying it many times more, I am very fond of your talents. I love what you do with the youth.

Looks like a great core of young TT and punchy talents Gilmore is a great signing for that wage tbh.
