What do you think guys about tomorrow stage and Pogy vs Jonas discussion ? Why I keep hearing that Jonas is so good on this type of climb. Its like c’mmon why do someone think that it should suit Jonas more than Pogy?
Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.

Thats what i was saying the other day. I keep hearing the same and got told i'm listening to lunatics (which is apparently nearly all the people covering it since they all seem to be suggesting Jonas can win in big mountains.)
Honestly.. I feel the only way Pog isn't winning is if Jumbo and Ineos kind of work together. And even then its going to be difficult due to Movistar. Send Laporte/Ganna/Dylan up the road (actually, just like today really). Have Rog and Yates attack over an earlier climb. With those guys down the road its a fucking nightmare for Pog who would have to keep chasing them.
Problem is, Movistar will just set tempo for him since Rog is behind Mas and we all know Moviestar ride for the podium. If one of the sky boys goes, Jumbo is gonna pace. It kind of ony works, maybe, if either a) Mas goes with them but i feel like 3 teams working together is a stretch b) Jonas goes instead of Rog, but thats a massive fucking risk i don't see taking (And Movistar still probably chase it because they probably don't think theres any chance of the beating Pog, which means they would still be losing a potential at podium.)
Could have Thomas instead of Yates. I just think Jumbo aren't likely to want to work with Thomas, whereas they probably think Yates might just crack week 3 anyways giving Rog the win.
I definately think Ineos should play the Pidcock card soon though. Whilst we all probably think his cracking soon, its an interesting dilema for the other teams on how hard they chase him since his a bit of an unknown. |

Silly us, thinking Pogacar doesn't have a team. He has a few of them.

So now we all take bets on Pog pulling a Landis tomorrow right?
Blazing attack from Jonas though. He looked like he was riding on totally different roads to everyone he was going so fast.
Also, the Wout train blazing past the GC group might be the funniest moment of the TdF so far. |

Bardet, Thomas, Quintana, this looks like 2015-2018 all over again.
Hope this isn’t over yet. We’re in for a show. |

It's Pog vs. Jumbo again, like 2 years ago (last year we didn't really have a race tbh), but it looks like the heat and massive team strength have made the pendulum swing the other way for now. But I definitely hope this isn't over yet; if Pog can gain back a minute before S20, what a thrilling finale that would be!
Great racing by Nairo and Bardet btw - would be great to have the Frenchie back on the podium, but definitely a long way to go there, and a lot more seconds to gain on G. before the long TT.
Really smart pacing by Gaudu, too, will be interesting to see if that was the better strategy regarding fast recovery ^^

That was fun. More of this please.
I really hope Pogacar recovers well and makes this a fight all the way to Paris.

He obviously was super strong today, but a big shoutout to his team. I doubt he'd have gained that much time without them constantly attacking Pog.
And although I think Vingegaard would've won anyway today, I still feel like Pog wasn't at his top level today... Just hope he didn't contract Covid; wouldn't be that surprising with all those UAE positives though...

If he loses time again tomorrow i feel like Pog will catch covid... even if he doesn't actually have it.
Honestly, the Jumbo team... it was amazing and it also wasn't. Rog sacrificing himself to kill Pog though was pretty freaking awesome of him. The whole, pacing Majka back so that Rog could pull for 5 seconds.... maybe not so awesome XD |

Ya sure hope it was not COVID, and we will have a blasting stage tomorrow between the two. No doubt the team was a major factor, especially the full use of the duo captain attack strategy. Hard to say if he could have won without it.
