It's confirmed right now. SN is paying every single member of the organization to make Frank the best rider in the gamePfft

I demand SN out of the crew that makes this gameSmile

If nothing else, Devolder clearly has the best helper in the Peloton (Valverde). Devolder could have even been in yellow had he not lost 2 49 because of the stage 2 crash. He is having an unbelievalbe year. 4th in De Ronde. 1st in Romandie. 2nd in Columbia. and now riding well in Le Tour. It is a shame that this is his last race of the year. And the funny thing is i offered him to Magenta along with several other guys for ricco and he laughed at me and said that he only had like 25 points last year and that ricco was so much better because he had many more pro tour points. I had even offered him and a host of other guys to SotD for Sammy Sanchez. But the only ones that seemed to want him was sporting and mrlol, but at that point i decided to keep him. Hopefully he can end the year on a high note with a podium spot. I think that is realistically all i can hope for after dropping the nearly 3 minutes in that stage 2 crash.

Well, as far as I remember you offered me 1mil + Devolder for Samuel Sanchez... Devolder has been doing exceptionel no doubt about it, but so has Samuel Sanchez, who still has some races left aswell, so perhaps it would've been good, perhaps not... I reckon that it was a good lay down, since Samuel Sanchez has scored points for me in the hilly races and the stage races he has been in. Devolder wouldn't have been of any use in the cobbles at my team, and I would SO badly have needed a hilly rider if I had sold Samuel... I would have thought that Popovych, Caruso and Zubeldia would do well in the GT's... Caruso crashed (Should've done top 10) Popo the same deal, and then we gotta look at Zubeldia... ATM i'm pretty pleased I didn't do that deal, but let's look by the end of the day. It's not all down to the fact that he scores more points than sammy, but also a logistic issue, that could've given me about 200 points less in a particular phase of the season...

Its not my fault that everyone always seems to underestimate him.
His Stage race record is:
2007: 1st Tirreno, 5th Tour de France, 5th Dauphine
2008: 1st Tour de France, 2nd Paris-Nice
2009: 1st Tour de Suisse

Everyone seems to attributes his 2008 Tour victory purely to the TTT. To quote Crommy "Accumalux dominated the team time trial to give him an unassailable lead". But Frank Schleck led going into that time trial - and extended his lead on the other riders in the stages after it.
Then, theres the Tour de Suisse this year - he won by 5 minutes on the next rider despite a strong field and a 37km TT.

I guess the fact that he isnt this good in real life deceives people time and time again

Im curious - so long as you get the points, why does it matter when you get them?

It's down to a matter of quite simple statistics...

If I have Devolder getting my points instead of Samuel Sanchez, Devolder will get points in races where my other climbers would've gotten points anyway, so his points aren't 100% as capable as the hilly points is for Samuel as he is the only hilly rider of the team...

If I would've traded Samuel Sanchez for Riccardo Ricco f.x. it would be a different matter, as he could make up for the hilly races, and therefore 0-point the difference. Devolder can't as Caruso, Zubeldia and Popovych will gain points from the races Devolder would essentially race. More to that, Devolder wouldn't have gotten any points in the cobbled races for me like he got for his current team, so subdue those pts aswell...

Its hard to tell really, Zabriskie is going better than Evans so probably him.

Im really pleased that B&O won a stage and the way that Veelers did it was brilliant. Veelers doesnt even go for the sprints in continental stage races

Its surprising just how well Schleck is going. It makes a nice change from the disappointments ive had in many races so far this season. Btw, feel free to keep up the Anti-Schleck posts. Your 'jealousy' is funny Pfft

I can't say for sure who else was in the deal, but one guy that i know i included in it was Monfort. But i respect your decision as you were tempted but opted to go another way. Magenta straight up laughed at the thought of somekind of switch between ricco and devolder. He thought it was just so funny to even think that Devolder was anywhere near ricco's class. But at least for this season we are seeing differently, and i can say that i am glad he stayed on the team.

And just a side note, but magenta why would you send two leaders (fothen & Ricco) to small stage race (Austria Tour). It seems to be a bit of a waste of race days. But to each his own.

Go Devolder keep it up.

Stemple is happy right about now. Devolder is looking like one for the podium, and with the TT's ahead maybe even a win! knock on wood!
