It seems clear that many of the usual top ITT'ers as Gallopin, Gretsch, Wyss, Koren and Borchi only used Tour de l'Avenir as preparation for the WC. I thought Gretsch was quite disappointing in l'Avenir as he had earlier performed greatly in Thüringen but of course he was not peaking two weeks ago.
The Spaniards Mora and Serrano have been very disappointing. I had expected at least a top 5 from one of them.
Never.
