Alunderis joined the break on Stage 2. Five riders survived, including the afore-mentioned Alunderis, who finished 5th. The stage result translated to the GC. He was 2nd in the U25.

Alunderis held his GC position after Stage 3.

Christiansen finished in the Top 100 on Stages 1 and 3. So did Alunderis.

RTG Highlights
Alunderis joined the break on Stage 4. He picked up 1 KOM point. He won the second intermediate sprint. Alunderis attacked with 10 kilometers to go. He was caught by the break. He attacked again with 5 kilometers to go but was caught again. Anacona got away and Alunderis was caught with 200 meters left. He still finished 5th on the Stage. His time gain on Stage 2 meant that he was the new GC leader!

Alunderis lost time to the race favourites on Stage 6 but still held on to the jersey.

Christiansen finished in the Top 50 on Stage 4 and moved up to 5th in the U25s. Ge lost time on Stage 6 to fall down the standings.

RTG Highlights
Bunch sprint on Stage 7 meant that Alunderis kept his GC lead.

Along with Christiansen, Alunderis was on the wrong side of a bunch split with 8 kilometers to go on Stage 8. He fell to 15th in the GC and 2nd in the U25s as a result of the time loss.

Alunderis was dropped again in the closing kilometers, falling further in the GC as a result. He remained in 2nd place in the U25 standings.

RTG Highlights
Two good stages from Alunderis on Stages 19 and 20 got him back up to 5th in the U25s. The final stage ITT meant he lost places once again. He finished a creditable 41st in the GC and 7th in the U25s.

Christiansen had the reverse luck in these three stages, managing an 81st place in the ITT. He rode an anonymous race with his team also having the same fate.
