No, he changed last minute because he feared other races might be cancelled due to Corona.
Or he saw his chances increase with Mathieu's forfait, your choice

Well, that was a poor start. Valgren 21 and Sep 23. Should get some assist points from Theuns and Pedersen, but that's it

6th and 7th in Kuurne is better than yesterday, but Alaphillipe didn't do much in the Drome Classic.
On that note, does anyone know a website with decent race reports so I can identify the early breakaway in races I didn't watch?

2nd by Nizzolo is rather decent with Jans in the breakaway.
For breakaway riders, best is likely to check the race twitter, which should have them all. Optionally if given, live tickers. |

1-2-3 in Drome classic
Additionally Kristoff in 3rd is a good result.
Kind of regret to have selected Bouhanni over McLay who will race Le Samyn on Tuesday, while Bouhanni only raced Drome classic today which didn't really suit him. |

5th in KBK, 5th and 13th in Drôme. Not bad, but no big result either.
Pretty disappointed by Petit DNFing both cobbled races, and by Politt and Keukeleire not doing anything there either.
Got Stuyven and Petit in Samyn, Stuyven probably the favorite to win even if he can recover.

The Italian Job
Bauke Mollema
Tiesj Benoot
Zdeněk Štybar
Michael Matthews
Danny van Poppel
Roy Jans
Alberto Bettiol
Rui Costa
For the moment and small startlists, those 8 seem to be the only starters for me.
In case of race cancellation it might change obviously, so potentially need to swap later on. |

In case of cancellation I'll do my best to find similar replacement races, but yeah, not the best year to start this game with all the uncertainty

Team rankings

The Reds started of great in Omloop, but 10,0 and another 0 after that meant they couldn't hold on to their lead. The Lemmings won Kuurne with a reborn Nizzolo. The Bald Beagles dominated the Drome Classic with a perfect 1-2-3 and finaly the Sledgehammers won in Le Samyn.
All in all the most consisten team is in the lead. Bikex scored well in all races and is the only guy to make all his 8 riders score. The rest is all fairly close together, only jaxika is off to a slow start and had to let one of the amateur teams pass him after Declerq's bid for leadership. On that note, it's probably best I didn't made a custom Danish team with SKA and Asgreen.

Stuyven with a great season start, winning Omloop, decent finish in Kuurne and minor points in Le Samyn. Lampaert, Nizzolo and Hofstetter all had 2 good races fighting for the next spots. As said above, the biggest misses so far were Soren Kragh Andersen, Kasper Asgreen and Tim Declerq, I think all 3 can score well this season.
Please let me know if I made any mistakes.

The Italian Job
I have a feeling the Italian races will be canceled and I read EF won't be participating anyway, but until further notice we have:
Strade Bianchi (WT)
GP Industria (CT)
GP Monsére (CT)
Ronde van Drenthe (CT)
Again 1 WT race combined with 3 smaller races. Will people repeat their R1 tactics? All in for Strade? Gamble on the smaller races? Deadline will be the start of Strade Bianche.
