While we're on about Beijing, whats yor predictions for the Mens TT? Is Schumi going to continue his "miracle" (cough) form or is the old order coming back and Cancellara going to gain revenge for the TdF? |

Much has ben made about the fact that the race is outside beijing, unfortunately the factories are also outside beijing and hence the pollution is just as bad

Cancellara has been saying for months that he wouldn't be in top form at the Tour, but at the olympics.
I also have no doubt Cancellara would've still won the second TT if he hadn't worked for his teammates.

Ok Pejing air is not so nice at all..but wear this in airplane...looks lame and over reacted.
This is like a chanche to be cool as snowboard rider..
I hope they will ride the race also with this. |

Gesink says the air feels 'filthy' when he breaths it. |

Chris Anker told TV2 that it really wasn't that bad at all. Touché, Gesink - hail our super-lungs!
Never.

The Americans got told off for wearing face-masks in Beijing, apparently the people there thought it was a sign of dis-respect

Anyway, I don't think Chris anker has better lungs than mr high-armstrong--like-score-in-lung-capacity-test Gesink.
It probably means he is used to smog already

Seriously, for the cyclists, this is just overreacting. It's definitely a big problem for the marathon runners in the city but it's not a real problem way outside the city. Yes, it's not close to clean air but when you are to be there for 2 weeks, I think you can make it.
Gesink and the Dutch are just mass-media affected
Never.

The race is 70 kilometers outside Beijing in a National Park, so believe me. The area isn't so bad as they tell. They only listen to much to the media. |

So i have to wake up 4:45AM CET to watch cycling? Im starting to question the brilliance about placing Beijing so far away from civilization.
