in a way i hope he's innocent. I always liked him. But either way the ASO won't risk it. You know them by now

That too, but everyone has a bias for someone.
Examples:
Levi4life: "The favorites for this race are [list of all americans that are participating]"
Ruben: "This dutch guy will win, i have this extensive list of results that prove it. And his stats in PCM07 are underrated!"
Waghlon: "The man's innocent! I dont care what you guys say, he will win the trial and sign with a team and ASO will accept them at the last minute!"
Disclaimer: All examples are used for illustrative purpose only. Dont bother feel offended.
What im saying is that we all have some sort of belief that we will stick to no matter how ridicolous it gets. Thats how this forum works.

Yup, just like Wuyts thinks Devolder will win the Tour.
And just like Van Basten claims he is the best, until he loses, then he says we were expecting too much. |

Well. No tour for Gerdemann and Rogers it seems.
As for Evans. Silence-Lotto has drawnup this squad for the tour:
Mario Aerts
Christophe Brandt
Leif Hoste
Johan Vansummeren
Wim Vansevenant
Dario Cioni
Yaroslav Popovych
Robbie McEwen
Cadel Evans
With 3 reserves: Bart Dockx, Roy Sentjens and Maarten Tjallingii.
No big surprises there. |

Michael Rogers is not starting the Tour de France this year, because he hasn't recovered from his virus in time (I think). Its a shame for him after what happened last year |

I think i read some bits of that too. However, i don't think that's what he meant. I think he meant to say that Devolder has the right skillset, size and talent to be a future winner of the TdF. I actually think he said that it wouldn't be this year or the next.. but that he thought he would win it one day. |

I mentioned that in News in June, but yes, it would have been more appropriate to post it here.
It's a shame, yes. After all, he did quite well in Dauphiné, so I really thought he would be in the squad. |

Yeah, would've liked to see him ride the tour. However, it is a nasty virus, and there's no knowing for certain how he would react to a 3 week race. So i understand perfectly. I've had the bloody thing, and i was horizontal for 3 months, of work for 5 Lost 11 kilos in 10 days when it was worst. It's not that bad for everyone.. but racing a tour after going through mono in any form would be risky. |
