a lot of attacks, none by GC people. Hincapie ended up winning with some smart riding. he attacked in the final km.

I have to say, Credit Agricole is an absolutely pathetic team. They have one guy that is capable of winning races and they have 1 guy left to help him in the last 7kms and Hushovd was basicly alone with 1 -2 kms left Pfft

most likely, CA ends because they can't find a new sponsor.

Also, Gerolsteiner, Cofidis and Quickstep. Maybe High Road in 18 months (I pray it isn't so)

But if that happens, Hushovd probably will have no problems finding a new team for next seasonSmile

valverde taking a time trial in front of levi and evans! seems like he might be building for a big try in the tour but i still dont think he will win but if he does finish i think a top 3. i hate to say but i think evans will win the tour. also i think the top 3 here will finish as the top 3 but i wouldn't like to say in what order.

... and people still have the nerve to say that Valverde hasn't progressed in his TTRolling Eyes

it was a good time trial, can't wait for these mountains though. Possibly Valverde could hold on to Yellow and maybe win. Now i'm laying my cards on the table Shockops:

Well, I think Valverde has peaked too early when he can do TT's like these. I'm very surprised to see him do so well.

every year the exact same thing, someone does well at the dauphine, everyone yells out how he's going to dominate the tour, then he does nothing at the tour, or blows up in the second/third week because he peaked too soon.

give it some time.

I'm interested in seeing if Valverde's performance in the mountain stages is suddenly going to be lacking a lot.
(you know where I'm getting at)

He won't win the tour, but he is likely to win this race.

I think Valverde may have peaked too early, and Evans may not be peaking in time...This could be a wide open tour...A shame we won't see Levi and the gang in the mix, since the window for him to win one is closing very quickly.

Gesink 10th, excellent TT for him. He progressed from top 35 placings last year to top 10 and even top 5 (basque tour) this year Smile
