Yeah, I see that. It just came out of nowhere. I thought they were going to stick with High Road's money for at least a year. Anyway, Columbia is good. We will now finally get rid of that awful looking shirt. |

Vanendert fell and dislocated a hip. his season is over. Poor bastard.
That's even worse than the possibility of Boonen being in the Tour.

Whenever I see a High Road rider, I feel like ordering a hot dog from him.
I said to myself earlier in the season, that if CSC and High Road would not manage to find new sponsors, things would look grim for the sport as a whole, so this pleases me and gives hope to other teams.
Don't call me Jens Fuck! It always sounds like that when you Danish people say my name.

It's good, yes, but we shouldn't forget that Columbia isn't exactly a T-Mobile like sponsor. As someone said (issoisso, I think), T-Mobile was the last "big" sponsor in the cycling world, and now when they are gone there's only these small sponsors. In the end, this may have an effect on the level of professionalism. |

I don't know, in their respective countries Caisse D'eparage, Credit Agricole, Francaise des jeux, bouygues, AG2R, Gerolsteiner, Euskatel, CSC and Silence lotto to name a few are well know. Maybe not on the international scale like T-Mobile. Well CSC is quite well known here if thats any difference.

I agree with Doddy, Credit Agricole, and Caisse D'Epargne are two of the biggest banks in the world, FDJ and Lotto (of silence-lotto) are two of the biggest lotteries in there respective countries, Bouygues is one of France's largest communications provider, etc., etc. Don't forget that Discovery Channel is a small American TV channel, not a big company at all, and were a very good sponsor (that happens to have there headquarters 20 minutes away from where I live. I'm in Bethesda, MD, they are in Silver Spring, MD).

Jan Ullrich said that. Here's a quick way to tell us apart: he's the fat one.

Of all those, the only one the average person knows over here is the Discovery Channel, so I wouldn't call it small.
And of the current ProTour peloton, the only other sponsor anyone will know is Cofidis.

I am thrilled that High Road found a new sponsor, CSC-Saxo Bank and Team Columbia are two of the best things that have happened recently to the sport of cycling. If, by some miracle of god, the tour is very competitive, interesting, and exciting, and with no doping controversy, it could be the beginning of a turn-around for the sport. |

hmmn. I don't follow the logic here. T-mobile was the last "big" sponsor? Who else were "big" sponsors? I would struggle to tell you what the likes of Mapei, Banesto, GB, MG Technogym, Carrera, GAN, ONCE, Polti, Mercatone Uno, etc etc. do for a living. |
