Robin Van Persie has said that he fears Romania and so should his team
"Everyone talk about a fantastic group with the best teams like France and Italy, but Romania have a strong side, trust me."
And he goes on saying things like "They are like a machine"
I realize that the Netherlands faulterd against them in qualifying but I still don't think they'll pose as much as a threat as France and Italy somehow

He seems to have gone a little over the top there Then again I have a funny feeling they might sneak through. |

As it all kicks-off today, I'll do sort of the same as Alex and predict how I think the groups will look like
Group A
1. Czech Republic
2. Portugal
3. Turkey
4. Switzerland
Group B
1. Germany
2. Poland
3. Croatia
4. Austria
Group C
1. Italy
2. Netherlands
3. France
4. Romania
Group D
1. Spain
2. Sweden
3. Greece
4. Russia

I've just been taking a look on the Euro2008 UEFA website and apparently there were 52 red cards in qualifying

I prefer this statistic. read it all the way, it's the last bit that I find funny
Cristiano Ronaldo was the player with the most dribbles per game, with the most time on the ball, with the most shots on goal, with the most shots off target, and the second most fouled player. Number one in that category? Some random San marino player named "Andy" |

But why the hell were people fouling him that many times? He plays for San Marino, it's not as if he will have been posing much of a threat. I remember a couple of years agao, Germany beating them 14-0 I think it was, and I wouldn't be surprised if they hadn't been beaten by more before.

As always
I somehow hope they fail. I don't think Netherlands have a shot at all, so if they don't make it (which they won't), I hope Russia or Poland will win lol |

Naturally
Ruben; I personally don't like the Poles anymore, because of THIS
They took it a bit far putting the severed heads of Ballack and the trainer on the front cover and saying "Bring us their heads", even if it is the Germans

I think the Dutch may even end last in their group, i just cant see them beating Italy and France and on top of that their last match against Romania wasnt good aswell

Swedish team is really a mess at the moment. Linderoth just back from injury, Ibrahimovich half-injured, Allbäck half-injured, same thing with Rosenberg, Nilsson, and Ljungberg.
We will have no chance if this keeps up |

Portugal has no injuries. they just suck.
I'll support them, but I won't be particularly down-hearted when they're knocked out |
