Stage 4
This stage is as short as stage three. Today, all the riders will be sitting in the bunch until the sprint.
The last ten kilometres were very hard. One hill had over 6%.
Kristoff survived, and it looked like he could win.
When Kristoff is on his way past Rasmussen, Vemeltfoort is too fast, and he boxes Kristoff again…
It looks like Vemeltfoort shall win, but just ten meters from the line, he’s stopping to sprint, and Rasmussen goes past. Third for Kristoff.

Stage 5
This is the toughest stage of Tour de Normandie. It has eight classified ascents, and it is 205 kilometres long.
I decided to send Haavardsholm in a breakaway. He counter-attacked on the first rider that attacked, and they were a duo until the top of the first climb, when they were caught by the pack. Haavardsholm attacked again, and the pack did not set up the pace. The breakaway group was on six riders.
Haavardsholm took many climb points during this stage
The breakaway was caught when there were 30 kilometres to go. Just when Haavardsholm were hooked in, Christophe Moreau (Agritubel) went to the attack. Some other riders, Kvasina (Perutnina Ptuj) and Brouzes (Auber 93) counter-attacked, but Moreau flew away from them. Duarte also attacked, but he went back to the pack in the decent.

Fabio Duarte also attacked, but he couldn’t hold the pace
When there were five kilometres to go, Moreau had 1.15 to the pack
Moreau won easily, while Kvasina won the sprint agains Brouzes

Stage 6 – another close sprint…
Another short and flat stage
Because there were downhill to the finish, I set Nordhaug in front of Kristoff. It worked very well, and they were in the front when the finishing line was close.
Nordhaug made Kristoff a good position when the sprint opened
There was such a close sprint, and Kristoff gained another 2nd place.

Stage 7 – dramatic sprint
I’m sure there will be a mass sprint today, and I’m going for the first stage win for Kristoff.
When there were 1 kilometer till the sprint started, Kristoff was right behind Jacob Moe Rasmussen. Right before the sprint started, he changed to another rider. That was a smart afford. A few seconds later there became a mass crash, and there were Rasmussen who started it.

Mass crash! Nordhaug is down, and he got a red cross…
Rasmussen and Moreau is down!!!
Last corner, Kristoff in 4th position.
Lequatre, which is on his way past, falls in the last corner
Kristoff never came past Delpech

Again, a totally flat stage. Kristoff is the main favourite.

This race was just a “warm-up” for Tour de Bretagne. There were good riders as Di Luca,
Simoni and Pellizotti in the race, so my riders have no chanches.
My team:
The really race started when Egoi Martinez (Euskaltel – Euskadi) attacked.
Martinez attacks with 35 kilometres to go
Spilak (Lampre), Di Luca (LPR)and Sella (CSF Group – Navigare) counter-attacked
Then Simoni attacked, and Pellizotti, Pfannberger, and Kairelis counter-attacks.
Simoni paced his group to Di Luca and Spilak all alone, now they were six riders up front
In the bottom of the last climb, Simoni attacked.
He got 15 metres to the others.
A few seconds later, he was chased in by Franco Pellizotti. He couldn’t hold the pace, so he fell off.
The sprint started, and it seemed like Di Luca should win, but then the unbeknownst rider Dainius Kairelis came upon Di Luca’s side.
Photo finish! Who won?
Kairelis streches his hands in the air, that’s his second Giro d’Oro win in a row!
All my riders finished with the pack, Duarte best classified, on 53rd.

Another warm-up race for Joker Bianchi. I don’t have any chances for a top 5 spot.
I sent Bøhler in the first breakaway. They got huge lead, and when there were 60 kilometres to the line they had 8 minutes.
Bohler wasn’t the best hilly rider in the breakaway group, so in the climb 30 km from the line, he fell off. He was now on a 7th place, four minutes behind!
He tried to catch the riders in front of him.
In the same moment, Nordhaug attacks in the peloton for getting a top ten spot
Mamos wins easy while riding solo the last five kilometres
Bøhler sprints into a very good third place, just 36 seconds behind!

I had no luck with the forms on the start of this race. All my race leaders had bad form.
My best rider was Ingar Stokstad, that was incredible! He went on a 11th place with just 64 TT

A perfectly fitted stage for Kristoff. I want t ouse Wilmann as a positioner
Wilmann positioned Kristoff perfect to a second place in a train.
When the sprint started, Kristoff was in one of the best positions.

Kristoff followed Miyazawa, which was behind Quaranta and Bauer.
Kristoff did not have any strength for sprint past Miyazawa.
