Crazy downhill in Santa Caterina. Bad sight and tough surface caused many drop outs, and Innerhofer probably did a ride for the ages by going into a flag and still finishing 4th.. Amazing performance by Theaux, level above the others.
Yeah Prevc did his best to limit damage, very unfortunate that Kraft is basically without any chance now and out of the overall tournament tho. But Hayböck's chances are very much alive after the first event to make it 8th consecutive title win for Austria.
Schlieri was very bad. About 10-15 meters missing to be even in contention for previous results, that's a whole lot. Lots of work needs to be done in off-season.

In all honesty I thought that this charade was made mainly for Kraft to make huge gap on Freund and co. so Austria can maintain its streak.
What charade? He got moved up because Kraft had way worse conditions than Freund & Hayböck.

What a farce yesterday's race was.Kraft,Fannemel,Tande and Prevc got screwed.
I was't having any feelings against Freund but now I am in the anyone but Freund camp.
And what a ride by Innerhofer indeed.
No real reason, just 15+ years of liking other jumpers more.
My brother read in a forum that the germans used other suits than normally, hmm. Who have all performed amazingly in the second round. No official source tho, just a curious picture of Freund.

Hmm.The Germans flew in the 2nd round.Wouldn't surprise me if possible. Also weren't there some rumours about Jacobsen about suits after winning in Garmisch last year or am I wrong?
Also the other suits won't save Freund from the atmosphere in Innsbruck.Hayboeck to fly in Innsbruck and win the 4 Hills if he gets from tomorrow with not more than 10 points disadvantage on Freund and Prevc.
It actually got confirmed that Anders used a different set of suit, which helped get more distance into the jump. After Garmish, he couldn't use the suit again, but the win was kept.

The suits debacle is too long and IMO there are double standarts. I remembered every single time when for example Vladimir Zografski, who is Bulgarian, was constantly DQ'd for irregular suit - mainly that tolerance thing was the sticking point. Pretty sure that everyone else from the big nation uses the same trick and gets away with it. Well, this year the Norwegians are the victims and these DQ pretty much ruined decent performances on several occasions
Prevc won second competition of 4HT in Ga-Pa and took the lead of the tournament. Second place for Gangnes and third for Freund, thank to outrageous in my opinion judges assessment of his second jump - he got 18.5 marks for landing like this
I think Hayboeck still his his chances, being an absolute expert on the upcoming stages. Freund also with a good job on his by far most-hated hill, he looks not too bad. But to be honest Prevc is one class above all others in terms of putting it all together. The only ones looking as asthetic as Prevy though are the Norwegians, which look great as a team but do not have the one man to win this year. It´s all about Prevc.
Prevc best jumper by far, in this form he'll easily win it, even if he continues to have worse conditions than others.
Hayböck did well to limit the damage in Garmish - about 20 points behind Prevc now, he could well end up on the podium. If he finds some of that magic spark, like last year, he may even end up threating the top step, but that's just me dreaming now and both Freund and Prevc need one, two bad jumps.
Quality start of the Tour de Ski. Not sure how much I can watch in the coming 10 days, Sundby put in the semi quite a show on tho, in the end getting a solid 4th place; whilst Nortthug missed narrowly the finals to Cologna who took last qualification spot and then crashed in the final.

Superb win by Prevc.Freund can still win it though Hayboeck and Gangnes also shouldn't be underestimated.Kraft was bad today.Another consistent race by Johann Andre Forfang
And Tande's morale seems definitely gone down.
And very surprised at Joachim Hauer being KO in first round.
Also Schlieri is getting a bit better.
And Tour de Ski is gonna be a total boredom.Hoping that all of Sundby's rivals go full attacking mode.
Johaug will win it even if they all go in full attack mode unless she has bad luck.
Yeah Schlieri was better but it's his favourite ski-jump, whilst Bergisel is his home ski jump. So I'm not sure if it's real improvement he made in the past days or just lucky jumps, feeding off his past excellence. Tomorrow Bergisel qualification, yeah!
I was surprised at Hauer too, but other than that, Norwegians are back to a quality of team strength and unity that is impressive. Meanwhile, us Austrians are in shambles.. It's still beyond him how two mediocre at-best jumpers like Poppinger and Fettner get selected when we have former Tournament winners (albeit in shitty form) waiting in line, who have to jump conti cup.. they may have shit form but I take a former champion any day over obscure jumpers that have never had any highlight performance. Even if it just means that we are showing off with all our winners.
