Lachi can add a copy and paste function to your editor this would make it easier to remove the wrong names by adding the names of the official db |

If you want to copy many lines or columns you could use my Excel Editor
But in this case it is even more easy because you can copy the whole table from the official DB:
1. Extract both DBs with my editor
2. Close the editor
3. Go to the subfolder of the editor where the official database has been extracted
4. Copy DYN_track_cyclist.xml
5. Go to the subfolder of the editor where the other DB has been extracted
6. Paste the file
7. Start the editor
8. Select the database (don't extract again)
9. Verify that the data has changed
10. Create a new database
(These should also work with the full editor from Cyanide)
I have done the above with the PCM-Daily-DB, so whoever is using the Daily-DB and is having problems with my editor, try this one: https://lachi.mygamesonline.org/Lachis...oms1.1.cdb
To test it you have to:
1. Put this DB into the mod folder (or wherever the DB belongs to)
2. Select this DB in the options of the game
3. Start a new career
4. Simulate one day
5. Close the game
6. Try if you can open your career with my editor |

The easiest way to test is to:
1. Edit the database and change all names to Name1, Prename1, and so on.
2. Create an new database
3. Select the new database in the game
4. Start a new career
5. Simulate a day
6. Close the game
7. Open the save with my editor |

Generally this is how my editor works:
1. Click the star, then click "extract cdb"
2. Select the database or your save*
3.a Select the table you want to edit
3.b Make your editing
3.c Repeat steps 3.a and 3.b for other tables
4. Click the star, then click "export to cdb"
5. Give another name (don't overwrite the existing file)
6. Start the game
6.a If you edited the database: Select the database in the options and start a new career.
6.b If you edited the save: Load the new file
*(Don't ask me where the saves or the databases are stored, I don't have the game)
You could have made several mistakes if the changes don't appear in the game.
1. You did not follow the instructions above
2. You wanted to edit the database but edited the save
3. You wanted to edit the save but edited the database
4. You wanted to edit the save but edited the weeklysave
If this does not help, please describe what you did and/or where you struggle.

You're welcome.
This thread is about my editor but you have a general editing question.
I cannot answer your question because I don't have the game.
If you cannot get an answer here, consider asking in a more general thread. |

Hi Lachi,
Don't know if this is editor or db related but when I try to open my be a pro career (with the pcm.daily 0.5 db) I get the following error.
I hope you can fix it or do I need to report it as a bug?

@Abelbaba: There seems to be a bug in the game which messes up the save when you use certain databases. (As far as I know the FDB-DB and the daily DB are affected.)
I recommend to contact Cyanide and send them the database and your save. Or you could use another database which is not messing with your save.

it's almost all those strange letters like:
example: ñ, é, è, ë, ê, Ð, ð, Þ, þ, æ, å, ç
and many many more |

My editor has no problems with these letters.
Databases with these letters can be opened just fine.
But the game does mess up the save somehow. I was not able to check it with a save based on the daily-db because nobody sent me a problematic save yet but in careers based on the FDB-DB the table DYN_track_cyclist got messed up.
I cannot say if the problem is in the game or with the database extractor tool from Cyanide. But as far as I know the problem also exists in both editors from Cyanide. Or does it work with the editor which comes with the game? |

Thank you but that's not the file I want. I already have the DB. I am looking for a broken save based on the daily-DB. |

Yes, that's the one. Thank you.
In this save, the error is in the table STA_objectif_type in the column CONSTANT
I am starting to believe that the error is in the database extraction tool from Cyanide or that it is related to the size of the database.
Can you open this save with the editor which came with the game?
If yes, can you please zip the folder of the editor and upload it. |

Maybe somebody who bought the game should complain at Cyanide. |
