Now this is seriously interesting. If Phinney can't expect to take more than 30 seconds away from his major rivals in these semihard TT's then he could well be struggleing to win any Grand Tours this season, or even make the podium. That is very very interesting.

Is Gesink actually planning on staying on his bike long enough for that to matter? |

For La Vuelta, he'd better be.

Aleksandr Pluchkin likes it even more.
And it will be double edged sword for Ignatiev. It should make beating Coppel or Phinney possible, but it also makes possible to loose to weaker TTist on a good day.

Here are the teams' jerseys for the inter-continental champs. If a jersey maker wants to base a continental champion's jersey on these, they are more than welcome. Also, I created an extra Oceania jersey for absolutely no reason whatsoever. I've based all designs on what real Continental champions jerseys look like and then added a creative twist.

Just like Spilak, Coppel isn't riding a single GT though

Cool stuff, aidan. Now wondering if we are allowed to ride an Oceanian shirt Though the Asian looks cool in a way.

@Aidan:
Those look excellent. Thanks a lot. Well, you could replace the Oceania with Intercontinental. I like the jersey. |

Good work on the jerseys Aidan - more prized possessions for managers to lust after!
Pleased to get some of our boys on the road for the first time in 2015 - not bad performance from Ortega to grab 10th in Americas ITT competition; wasn't sure what to expect from his decent TT stat but weak hills ability, so this was somewhat reassuring. Was also stagiaire Mayho's 1 of only 2 hit-outs until August - he rode before the tv coverage started though, and his bloody Garmin zonked out half-way round, so no benchmark to see how he got on!

Nice for Phinney to open his season with a win! However, on a 50 km time trial like this, I would have liked to have seen an even bigger winning margin. Amador just 20 seconds or so behind is, as some of you guys point out, a surprise.

Well, there are 2 options.
Either the gap between Phinney and Amador is really not that big and what SotD says is right.
But what I actually like to think:
Phinney just had a -5 day and still won as he is that superior.
When others have a bad daily form like Uran or Craven, it`s just more obvious as they miss the good result then. |

Hmm, so Fiedler even won't be part of European TTT team on ICC!
Really interesting results indeed from both American and European ITTs. Almost a surprise in America and a big one in Europe. Congrats to Alex!

Had hoped better by Keizer to be honest. But then again it was a very hilly TT, which is not his biggest strength.
At least he makes the TTT squad then and should win with Europe there. |

Not that surprised to be honest. Riders with 80TT and 81HI should do really well here. Coppel did OK, although I thought he could get 3rd atleast. Spilak did well aswell. If these TT times are similar to the in game season I am a happy man, because that means the Spilak is not going to lose that much to even the top top TT riders.

It's a very hilly tt course, so of course the climbers are going to benefit more than they will in most TTs this season.
Would have been interesting to see what sort of time the Schlecks would have managed. I remember Frank almost podiumming the TT Worlds on a hilly course a few seasons ago

Brajkovic finish whereabouts I expected him to finish. Hopefully he can keep a steady form on those ITT's when it matters aswell. Not overly surprised that Gesink got the win here. Maybe it will finally be Gesink's season! On the other hand though, a season wouldn't be complete without Gesink crashing somewhere

Another podium from Bookwalter, gotta be happy as I never expected him to beat Phinney anyway. Would have been nice to get second though and the jersey, as Phinney's got the WC already. Thanks for the reports!

Wow, that was really hard TT, when even Igantiev does not managed to enter top10 with decent hill stat and Zmorka is so far back with 80 in TT. Pretty disappointing rides for both, but this was really for better climbers.
Pluchkin did awesome job though and i am really glad to see minimal gap to Gesink and Tenorio, which can prove to be the main battle of this years Vuelta. Also Madrazo far away is nice signal, but daily form will be sadly a factor in a given day.
Congrats Alex!

Seems to be easy to get a gap once you are away! 2nd is nice for Berhane, but it's a shame he was never really close to Craven.
Not sure why Craven has the wrong skin colour, I guess the game is automatically making all Namibians black - will have to investigate.
