Nope, only Millar + Wegelius appeared in Britain aswell as here. (Well, Cumming too but that was for Landbouwkredit in Britain).
Youll be back for Ireland though Addy. |

Stage 2 brought us to a hilly stage in Iceland. The pack did not control the race whatsoever, maybe thatwas because Rapha had a man upfront:
Weening takes the final mountain points as the race has just 1km to go, a downhill stretch and a tight bend will lead Weening to glory.

Stage 3
A gradually rising hill at the finish caught out Rapha Condor as Tinkoff's Mazzanti took the win plus yellow.
Pfannberger and Nordhaug had already been dropepd by Mazzanti and Lovkvist and Gerdemann attacked too late and couldnt catch up.

Moving onto the Norwegian island of Svalbard, and surely there could only be one winner, Thor Hushovd!
Early on in the stage, following the intermediate sprint (1st. R. Downing, 2nd Eisel, 3rd Murn), a mass crash took place, Gerdemann was among those who went down.
It was a disastrous crash for DFL as 7th Overall, Alexandre Moos, plus domestique Matt Brammeier both crashed out.
In the sprint, Carlsberg looked strong, Breschel moved early, and as he faded Rasmussen was ready to take over. But the long sprint would suit only one person:
Thor!

I have finished the tour, i will post the reports soon enough. An announcement for the irish tour though: No rider with a stat of over 75 in ANY useful skill will be permitted to enter (unless theyre Irish!). There are plans for an Irish National Team to compete, as there will be a Welsh and Isle of Man team.

Stage 5 - the biggie!
The route sprials outwards and upwards and here we see Lovkvist igniting the decisive move. Lovkvist though, misjudged the yellow jersey Mazzanti, who counterattacked past him and broje clear to win.
2nd for Lovkvist, with Andy Schleck 3rd.

Stage 7 came down to a spint and Thor took victory in Helsinki.
Stage 8 comes to stockholm, with the swedes looking to shine. They were helped massively when a huge crash took down the top sprinters plus some overall hopes - including Mazzanti. The peleton was narrowed down to just 45.
Plowman Craven's Freddy Johansson was the most favoured swede but frenchman Samuel Dumoulin obviously hadnt read the script - beating Johansson into 2nd Another swede, Jonas Ljungblad was 3rd in Stockholm.

The crashed riders managed to regain contact, so the swedish fans were denied seeing Lovkvist take yellow.
The danish fans would not be denied this though in the final stage time trial.
The battle for the win was a Rapha Condor affair, with Rogers beating Millar and Cummings.
Lovkvist came in 5th - Mazzanti 101st.. Lovkvist clinches victory overall but by how much?

The route takes us around the edge of Ireland.
Stage 1 takes in Ireland's capital ~ Dublin, and finishes in Ireland's only veldrome, the Eamonn Ceannt Stadium. Locals will of course be cheering for Ciaran Power.
David McCann and Aidan Finegan will be 2 Irish riders gunning for victory in the mountain stage, up the Leinster Mount.
The race continues south for a hilly stage in the outskirts of Waterford.
A sprinters day on Stage 4 as we set off from Blarney castle and head into Cork for the finish.
The race's only TT will be a team effot in Clonakilty, which is just west of Cork. The route will average at around a gradient of 0 - but only because a downhill section will even out a tough early climb.
We head a loong way North west to Galway for a hilly stage, in Stage 6
Another hilly stage as we head into Northern Ireland, the stage will conclude in Derry
Belfast holds the finale of the tour and it shou
ld be a sprint-fest.

it WOULD be nice if i wasnt the only one posting

i'm expecting Duarte Domination!!!!!!!!!
he's a great rider, i won columbian nationals with him by 23mins, after being in a break for 50kms then going solo for another 100kms, on hard (if you haven't seen the COL champs, then it's a beast)
so this shows he is one to be watched |

Duarte will need to earn some good time on the Leinster Mountain to win though, his MO is 75, compared to 74 from some other contenders. His Hill + Sprint stat is a little weaker though.
Also, I dont expect Konica Minolta to TTT well. |

Stage 1
As we entered the Velodrome Schar and Mattan held a 40 second lead over the pack.
With 300metres to go, Mattan still lead but the strong sprinters were right on his wheel, who would take the win?
Serbian national champion Ivan Stevic! With Manx cyclist Andy Roche an unlucky 2nd, and Julian Dean 3rd.

Stage 2
The tour's mountain stage suffered from a lack of teams wanting to control the race.
A break of around 9 men went forward - including Geraint Thomas. They built a lead of a minute with no reaction and only began to get caught due to lack of teamwork.
With 1km to go Manx rider Elliot Baxter led Geraint Thomas who darted away from the pack.
And the Welsh rider took the win with no competition.
Johann Tschopp took 2nd while Irishman Stephen Gallagher placed 3rd.

Hopefully he will take the win, but some tough tests to come.
Stage 3
A strong Welsh squad failed to set up Thomas well as Gallagher lept off the front with just 1 kilometre left.

Stage 4
Welcome to Cork!
7 riders made use of the 2 intermediate sprints to break away from the pack, who were reluctant to chase.
Nicholas Roche eyes up the finish - its still 10km away though
7 fell to 5 for the finish:

4 Andy Roche ISLE OF MAN NATIONAL CYCLING TEAM s.t.
5 Martin Elmiger PERUTNINA PTUJ s.t.
The peleton didnt chase much and didnt sprint seriously either, with the likes of Stevic not contesting the sprint. The Yellow jersey feeling aided Thomas' strong sprint.

Stage 5
Moving onto Clonakilty and the Team Time Trial, where the Irish team were rates as the top favourites.
They couldnt live up to the pressure though and finished 8th.
Tinkoff led in the early stages but SouthAustralia.com took away their lead by just 1 second.
The Welsh squad had little expectations as they crossed the line, having been out of the top 5 in the first 2 checkpoints, but they had rode brilliantly in the 2nd half of the race as they took the lead by 1 second!
Would Wales win? No, Recycling.co.uk blew away the field.
