My young climbers are doing well here by their standards. Lots of abandons though.

I already see our two teams having great fights next year as well, Count.
Could be interesting cobbled races as also some other terrains of course.
Hopefully then for the upper part of the rankings though. |

Ratiy climbs a bit in the GC. Without the crash he could have been a potential top 15 candidate. Oh well, he is still in for a shot at the top 20.
Too bad my sprinters crashed, but if the flat stages ends in a sprint, I think Demare will still be among the best, and if not, I can hopefully put a guy in the breakaway.

Another great report from a mountain stage.
Weird tactics from our team, but great to see Antón full of life, admittedly I would've prefered a better placed Contador when the big guns went, but in the end not much damage was done. Though, it's a pity he couldn't gap Suaza when it actually looked possible.
Hopefully Contador has saved something for the next stage, as that one looks like a typical stage where one of the big favourites could miss out on an important move before the downhill to the finish, even though a breakaway should be the favourite for the stage honour. |

Absolutely stunning stage, graphics-wise too.
Machado looked doomed there, but fortunately his tenacity and the confusing AI managed to overcome that problem. But even though things didn't go calamitous for us, this feels like another small but important blow from Alarcon on everyone else's aspirations.
The man of the day though is Henao. It's good to have his manager rewarded after his earlier troubles. Grats alex

Good thing Henao realized working for Brambilla won't benefit the team too much. I wonder if he will go for the KoM too now. The teams' classification would also be nice. I guess now I want too much

@alex:

Entertaining stage with some good drama Machado-wise. Alacorn though impressive, another important gain.

Impressive ride from Machado, I thought he had removed himself from contention for a minute. Amador looked strong, but still managed to lose more time. I'm content to finish on the podium I guess (if the race continues this way).

What a fantastic colourful report and what a shitty mountain AI with favourites just sitting up for 5kms or so.
Congrats Alex, at least some consolation.

Keizer in the top 10 already is nice. but still he is losing too much to done climbers. So more than 9th is not possible in GC I guess. Could need some mountain training in the off season as one stat could already help him a lot.
Thanks for the Olivier mentioning. Is having a nice tour here. And at least tried to join the break.
Vanmarcke out some less points. Am I the smallest remaining team? Or is VW worse? |

Yes a very cagey stage there and brilliantly reported as ever.
Net result is great, but I feel that Machado could have been eliminated if Amador and Alarcon had have worked together. Still perhaps it is best that a three way is kept open especially with Alarcon's 'Purito' style ability to nick bonifications and small time gaps in the last kilometre. Certainly cannot complain.
Nice to see a Colombian winner and always good to see a crash victim who should be fighting like say Suaza for GC pick up a stage win.
Next two stages are a bit different, difficult to see how stage 9 is that hilly, I guess it is a short stage so that elongates the what looks flat profile at the end.

Alacorn! Well, that's impressive again.. Gratz, Smowzy, you really brought one hot climber to SRB this year!
Another entertaining stage/report, hadn't expect so many attacks on this one. But it's a fun tour so far, imo.

Damn you Alarcon, leave something for the rest of us!
Congrats on another victory Smowz
Hopefully your man won't gain more time on the rest of us before the final stage, otherwise we're all doomed, especially me eheh

Alarcon having the season of his life, no doubt about that. Never expected him to do so well in the PT

Congratulations Smowz!
And Suaza is really having the race of his career, those 12 seconds could prove very handy for him in the fight for 4th place overall, especially if the GC contenders take it easy on the hilly stage.
