wtf was Giant doing? Again they fail in the final, we expect more of them by now...
Kristoff wins deservedly, strongest sprinter in the field behind Kittel. Also seems to be in top form. So unlucky for elmiger and Bauer, they deserved to win. |

Sagan blocked by Bauer
He looked very fast in the sprint Sagan, perhaps he could have gotten close if he hadn't been blocked, who knows.
Hope he gets his win in one of the remaining 2 sprint stages |

Kittel crashed early yesterday and was chasing the peloton solo for a while.
This plus the hard mountains and 2 weeks in his legs obviously made him tired today. |

Man, moments when I hate cycling. Gutted for Elmiger and Bauer but some great teamwork between the two. Please two times most combative rider. Double gutted for IAM, since Haussler came 2nd then. But hey, Kristolini/Paostoff is undeniable combo on such stages.

Quickstep did messed up sprinters legs.
Greipel/Gorilla was so empty that Kristoff passed him with style.
It would have been Sagan day because todays favors strong sprinter guys like Sagan, Kristoff and surprise Haussler. Who can not remember he was also hard sprint stages guy. |

Elmiger was awarded most combative rider 10 minutes before the stage finished

Then they should ride for Degenkolb. And not even the fact that Kittel couldn't sprint is bad, the main thing was the train being too late and not in position. Seems as if the team is tired. |

How are people still finding it funny Sagan doesn't win a stage?
None of the stage this year ended on a hill. No stage was ideal for him. He obviously won't win a flat sprint and with the few hilly stages with a flat finish everyone is looking and him and his team is all gone.
He's been doing great all alone. |

Did you not watch the stage Trentin won? and loads others where he was the best sprinter left and somehow managed to lose? |

Sagan is not and have never been a sprinter. He gets a lot of top-5 places because he is excellent at positioning himself and then wheelsuck over the line (that is not a bad thing).
A few minor climbs in the finale does not make Sagan the favourite for a given stage. Sometimes he wins in such stages, but his win rate is much better in uphill sprints, where he without question is the best rider in the peloton. |

He's not a top level sprinter like Kittel or Cavendish, but he still posses a good sprint (Two of his four tour stage wins have been on flat finishes, one of them in front of Greipel). Still, his failure to win stage 7 wasn't down to the route not being right for him, the final climb made sure there were no better sprinters than him, and he screwed it up by attacking on the hill |
