Actually more than half of the road is rideable. So, riders would simply be careful as they know the risk. Crashes happen even in good weather and now the riders will do everything to avoid them. To finish, this is their job. Does anyone ask us if we want to do our own one? |

Hayman, Dumoulin, Tony Martin, Burghardt among the riders attacking. |

I simply can't understand how can someone blame organisers for doing such a thing, when these sections are basically flooded (see images above) and if there's a little chance that it can be ridden on them, 80% of the guys would crash there, so there's no point in riding them. Roubaix cobblestone sections are already hard as fuck, even without rain. Cyclists are human (well, more or less), too. Would you ride in these conditions with huge risk of breaking collarbones and finishing the race before the real action even started?
Or you do want to watch, as Count said, GT where 20 guys make it to the finish and a dozen more break collarbones happen?
You and Count are both exxagerating, at least from the pictures nothing is flooded and 80% of the road is ridable, there are just puddles and 20 men finishing and rest crashing is way off...but it can get worse and got really flooded, then it will be good decision.

Tony Martin could be a hidden gem for spring classics.

I agree, Martin and cobbles could be good. Then again, by taking away the harder cobbles, I don't expect great things today.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I feel sorry for the rider that has to ride behind Samuel Dumoulin. |

I think all those who want to win today should not have let Tony Martins. Yet another German dominance today maybe. |

Tony previously sucked on cobbles in 2010 he was involved in that Frank Schleck crash. Probably due to lack of technique of riding on the cobbles
He has all the physical attributes to do well though as you said might be hidden gem |

2 sectors of cobbles are removed. Sky were pushing for stage to be cancelled. Their riders are going to suffer in wet. I believe in a GT we should have everything. |

Are you fucking serious Count and Admir? Since then, you've become the presidents of the pussyclub? This is Tour de France and not Tour de mountains and time trials. If you can't kick it in different type of stages and conditions, then you are not worthy of winning.

I think Froome.exe overclocked too much Tramadol.exe and is now unstable. |
