Arrhythmia I read, not sure if anyone know more, or would/could provide a more technical or medical explanation ?
Would be appreciated (I know somebody more or less in the same case, who's still allowed to cycle, but at low speeds only, quite frustrating).

Arrhythmia is basically an irregular heartbeat. It increases risk of heart attacks and other heart issues. Raising the heart beat naturally increases these risk, but with an arrhythmic heart the chance can become the probability.
Cycling, and any sport, raises the heart beat. So it's the the extent where he can no longer rider. Arrhythmia can develop naturally, but it can be caused by over stressing the heart muscle. As a pro cyclist this was probably a contributing factor. It is also a condition that is more common in older cyclists than in normal population

Due to an infection, there is scare tissue on his heart muscle. This causes the irregular heartbeat (Not sure if those medical terms are correct, but that is the translation form dutch)

Unfortunately it is only in the print edition of the paper and not online. 20 million would be a really big budget and you could pull a couple of stars with that sort of money.

Not really surprised at the amount of money since I always thought that Alonso wanted to start big from the get-go, but strange to hear him negotiating with Dubai. Then again, Dubai, F1, Alonso... kinda goes well together, so sure, throw that money into the cycling pot.

Who are some big name riders off contract at the end of the season?
Sagan and Boasson Hagen are all I know of. Oh, and Evans too. But he's thinking about retirement.

Any updates on Rodriguez - is he feeling better, will he ride the Tour? Can't really find anything.
I can say 99% he wont ride the tour. But it is just my judgement not actually factual. I just cant see it happening especially with the cobbled stage early in.
