Congratulations on winning the CT! Great job.
I like to calculate Points/K statistics too; they are very interesting.

Steven Caethoven - 2014 summary
Caethoven joined Nutresa from power-house Pro-Tour outfit Vesuvio, bringing vast experience and a winning pedigree to the mix. After a dissapointing start to the season at the Tour de Langkawi with no results to show (even with many bunch sprints available to contest), concerns were raised in the Colombian media that Scorchio had signed an over-the-hill mercenary dud. After Langkawi, Steven sat down with team management and requested to take a couple of months away from racing to solely focus on training camps to get his form up to the right-level following a difficult winter build-up. Managements patience was rewarded with a fantastic return through the late summer months, with Steven delivering a stage victory in Guatemala, the points jeresy at Oberosterrechrundfahrt and a podium position at the Rutas de America among multiple top 10 placings. Over the course of the season, Caethoven pitched in gathering 121 valuable ranking points supporting Nutresa's bid for promotion.
Caethoven sprints to third place in a blanket finish
In potentially his last season as a professional, Caethoven has proven what a consumate professional rider he is. He has played an important role in mentoring our younger less experienced riders, often acting as road captain. Steven know that his powers are declining, and is mulling over an offer from team management to operate as a directeur-sportif role in the team car in 2015. Steven has still not made a final decision whether or not he will hang up his wheels. We have agreed to release him into free-agency as a reward for his good service to enable him to consider potential offers. In the meantime, he has accepted a short-term contract to assist Nutresa in identifying and setting-up a suitable base for a service-course in Europe to support the teams expansion as it steps up to the Professional Continetnal Level. Potential locations in Belgium, the south of France and Costa Blanca in Spain are now under consideration. He is also assisting in putting team managment in contact with various potential signings for 2015 utilsing his extensive network of contacts gathered theoughout his successful Man-Game career. Whatever the future holds for Steven, we wish him well.

Armands Becis - 2014 summary
Armands joined Grupo Nutresa as a stagiaire for the end of the 2014 season. He also had the opportunity to participate in a number of team training camps throughout the season. Unfortunately with the late season title push, the opportunities to blood him in pro-races were limited. On both occassions when he did get the opportunity to pin a number on in Nutresa colours, he made good use of the opportunity, joining the BoTD at both the GP Tokyo, and his national championships.
Armands in the 6-man BoTD @ GP Tokyo
Unfortunately Armands no longer fits in with Nutresa's future plans and will therefore be released to free-agency. His original signing was envisaging a further season at CT where he would have had the opportunity to amass the race-days to assist his development. With the push on up into the PCT, these opportunities will be very limited. We wish Amands well for 2015 and beyond, and believe he may well be of interest to many new teams expected to emerge in the 2015 CT; his future cobbled ability and desire to race aggresively deserve a further shot at the pro ranks.

@ SN Thanks, was definitely worth the 60K transfer fee, otherwise the meagre return from the rest of our 'sprint' team might have sent me over the edge at various periods of the season (particularly early on this situation kept arising!):

Sergey Chernetskiy - 2014 summary
Sergey was part of the complex deal to bring Kolobnev to the CT, arriving on loan from Tinkoff for 2014. He experienced many race days, and was well liked by both managment and his team-mates at Nutresa for his selfless work for the team and boundless enthusiasm for getting intothe BoTD. Although none of his breaks hung on to fight for victory, it did assist him in picking up sprint and KoM points in various stage races. This tactic was most successfully demonstrated at the 12-day Middle East Tour, where he managed to secure 2nd overall in the KoM competition, having hung onto the jersey for multiple days until the final summit finishes enabled the GC contenders to close in. Although he had no top 10 stage or overall performances to rewrd his efforts, he did deliver a useful haul of 28 points to the Nutresa total through his endevours chasing KoM jerseys. Sergey completed his season with his only point scoring GC result, grabbing 19th on home soil in the hilly 1-day GP Yekaterinburg, backing this up with a fine 5th at his nnational RR champs nack home in Russia.
Chernetskiy in the break (again!) valiantly defending his KoM jersey, St 7 ToTME
Sergey has already returned home to his base in Russia and comrades at the power-house Tinkoff PT team. With all that he has learned in the past season in the CT, he is well placed to take up a roster position with his parent team, or to step into a PCT loan to continue to maximise his development potential. Sergey will be a much missed figure when Nutresa rolls put in 2015. We fully expect to be reading bout and witnessing his cycle racing exploits throughout the next decade.

Nutresa are looking for assistance from MG-land to generate a couple of mini-jerseys from Aidan's latest beautiful new jersey creations for us to utilise at the upcoming 2015 team launch. Get in touch if you have such technical ability and have time to do so (as I don't have a scooby how to myself).

Gennadiy Tatarinov - 2014 summary
Gennadiy was another young Russian rider to join Nutresa for our inaugural season from Tinkoff Credit Systems, but unlike his on-loan countryman Chernetskiy, Tatarinov has a long-term commitment to the squad. Gennadiy is still young and developing his talents, hence was exposed to many days racing to build up his core strength and stamina. Along the way he featured in multiple breakaways, and this led to some minor success in KoM and young jersey competitions, generally in longer stage races wher his aggresive riding style was best rewarded. Tatarinov's top performances during the season included a 5th place stage finish at the Tour de San Luis, and 11th at the Himmerland Rundt (where the day-long break that he ha been a key presence in was cruelly caught just short of the line). This all contributed to a 20 point haul towards the Continental Tour standings. Gennadiy's worth was more directly appreciated by his team-mates from the selfless teamwork fetching bidons and race-capes, and helping his leaders maintain good position in the bunch throughout the season.
Tatarinov forcing the early breakaway, stage 2 Veulta al Tachira [C1]
Following the announcment of British based Russian mining conglomerate Evraz joining the Nutresa family under the umbrella of Scorchio Cycling Management, Gennadiy has already reached a gentlemans agreement with team mamangment to sign on for a minimum of two further years with Nutresa once the MG contractual window opens up. We have spent significant time with Gennadiy during races and training camps discussing his future, and have identified that he has the potential to benefit from a season riding in the PT to complete his cycling education. Participation in a Grand Tour would be the perfect finishing school for Gennadiy, hence we will be actively looking for an appopriate loan opportunity for 2015 on his behalf.

Michal Golas - 2014 summary
Polish hardman Golas was identified early in the development of the Nutresa project as the sort of versatile, aggresive racer who could bring vast experience to a new start-up team. Eye-catching performances in 2013 confirmed for team management that he was a top CT target. Michal re-paid this faith with some excellent performances, not least victory in the Criterium Hainleite where he over-powered his breakaway companions, and held of the group of favourites bearing down on him on the final circuits. Demonstrating his versatility as a punchy sprinter with the ability to deal with the hills, Golas also delivered a number of strong showings in bunch sprints, with his 2nd in the 1-day Barcelona Classic being a stand-out. Golas also performed lead-out duties on a number of occassions to the benefit of his team-mates. Overall he totalled up a fine contibution of 124 ranking points to secure a place in the top 80 of the CT rankings. Michal's succesful season led to representative honours for his national team, assisting the Poiish TTT squad, and securing a fine 12th place at the World Championship 'B' race.
Golas celbrates victory at the semi-classic Criterium Hainleite
After a successful debut season with Nutresa, Michal's future is perhaps surprisingly uncertain. Michal has indicated to team management that he is unsure if at the peak of his career, it makes sense for him to take up a team role that limits his own personal opportunities given the step-up in racing to the PCT level. Having helped Nutresa to a succesful first season, Michal has also indicated that he would be delighted for his spot on the team roster to be available to a developing Colombian or South American rider to aid their development. Michal is therefore likely to enter the 2015 season looking for a move on the transfer market back to a CT team where he can again utilise his experience in assisting the development of a new team, and continue to be presented with opportunities to add to his own palmares. We have no doubt that there will be multiple teams interested in securing his services for 2015 and beyond; on both a personal and professional level, Michal is a class act.

Spoiler @ The Hobbit - thanks, good to know that the inhabitants of the Shire are keeping tabs on goings on in Colombian cycling
Ruben Ibanez - 2014 summary
Ruben Ibanez featured sparingly for Nutresa in 2014. Ibanez’s versatility was also his downfall when it came to final race selection, and partially lost out to enable young recruits or loaned in riders to reach their race day targets. Nevertheless he did get to air his fantastic Bolivian National TT Championship jersey on a couple of occasions, and this inspired him to take the yellow jersey at the Tour de San Luis after finishing 8th on the stage 4 time-trial. Unfortunately he lost the jersey the next day. That was his only regular season performance of note, hence he only gathered 6 ranking points across the season. The rest of his meagre allocation of race days were spent in service of his team captains at various stage races around the globe; although not as many race days as he would have liked, he certainly racked up the air-miles! Ruben finished his season with a flourish, defending his National TT title and putting up a valiant fight on a heavily mountainous course before just falling short in the RR.
Ibanez fights for 8th place and the yellow jumper. St 4: Tour de San Luis
The outlook for Ruben is uncertain. Management are keen to re-sign him, as his skills as an able domestique are highly praised by his team-mates. With various rule changes by the Man-Game hierarchy in terms of race days per team still to be confirmed, this will probably have the largest bearing on where Ibanez ends up riding in 2015. He will definitely be on the list for contract negotiations, and a new National Champions TT jersey has already been commissioned and delivered, so he certainly has one foot in the door.

Spoiler @ Cavendish-Fan - Thanks, Aidan's services are very reliable and of course welcome! - we are very happy with the evolution between the 2014 and 2015 incarnation of our jersey he has produced, keeping the general flavour similar, but incorporating our important new sponsors at the same time.
NOTE I hope to be able to complete these individual rider summaries before opening our 2015 HQ, so might be one of the last to transition - will definitely have 'moved' by transfer season.
Juan Pablo Valencia - 2014 summary
Juan Pablo Valencia has proven to be a key component of the Grupo Nutresa squad during the 2014 season, bringing home 4 individual stage victories and being a constant positive presence at all races attended. JP is a more traditional thinking cyclist who aims to hold good form all through the season. He was rewarded with stage victories in San Luis, Guatemala, Algeria and Slovenia reflecting the international programme the CT calendar follows. It is obvious that travel and exploring new countries is something that JP enjoys! Each stage victory came as part of a day long break. Valencia was a regular presence in breakaways across the season, and a dangerous presence in every one. His aggressive racing style also brought home various other top 10 placings, but his conversion factor from breakaway presence to victory is unrivalled; JP was definitely a not-so-secret weapon for Nutresa across the season. His performances throughout the year brought in 126 ranking points, delivering a top 75 performance in the individual CT rankings.
JP celebrates out-foxing his breakaway companions, St 5: Tour d'Algerie
With the step to PCT, Juan Pablo is likely to have more limited opportunities for personal success, but is still regarded as a corner-stone of the Nutresa squad. His popularity with the fans in Colombia, and the high regard he is held in by our sponsors ensures there is no doubt that he will be part of the Nutresa squad for the approaching peak years of his career. He has already been developing experience in the role of domestique-deluxe working alongside Kolobnev and Beltran very successfully in 2014, and will look to focus on that role for his team-leaders in future seasons. We look forward to having JP onboard in 2015.

Mauro Richeze - 2014 summary
Mauro Richeze had a relatively quiet season, with no victories to report even although he competed in many bunch sprints. However his haul of top 10 placings in stage races and minor placings in 1-day classics did amass 38 ranking points. More had been hope off at the start of the season from Mauro, but his performances at the end of season National 'B' World Champioships assisting his brother to victory, and then claiming the Argentine National RR jersey (through finishing 2nd to his elder brother) better reflects managments opinon of his ability.
Mauro in the decisive break at the Argentinian National RR
Team head honcho Scorchio believes that Mauro will be much better suited to a role as a pilot-fish in the PCT than a lead sprinter at CT; what will be crucial will be the signing of a recognised finisher to allow Richeze to build a sprint relationship with. Initial thoughts pointed towards potentially bringing in his brother Max, but the emergence of a new Argentian based CT team is also potentially runoured in the local press to be his preferred destination. Scorchio Cycling Management will be paying close attention to this story. Nevertheless, Mauro himself is strongly tipped to be resigning and remaining with Nutresa for 2015 and beyond, with a potential 2 year deal on the table tosecure his future position in the team.

Richard Ochoa Quintero - 2014 summary
Ochoa Quintero was brought onboard early in the establishment of the Grupo Nutresa project to provide stage race leadership qualities and bring his vast experience during our first season on the road. Richard had an excellent season, and has been a fantastic mentor for his young team-mate Beltran. Consistent top 10 places in stage races and multiple appearnaces at the front of races when the mountains appeared characterised his season. Management were particularly impressed with his performances when the team was stepping up to C1 level racing, in particular an excellent 7th against top level PCT opposition at the monstrous Cartago - Irazu race. Richard brought home 246 ranking points to be Nutresa's second top point scorer. His contibution at the season ending stage races in October were crucial in helping secure the CT championship. Perhaps his stand-out performance though was in support of Nariyuki Masuda who he nursed through several key stages to secure 2nd overall at the Tour of Langkawi while stilling maintaining a top 10 position of his own.
Richard victorious at the Jebel Kawr summit. St 8: Tour of the Middle East
Scorchio Cycling Management expect to re-secure Richard's services for the 2015 season, and will shortly be meeting with his agent to discuss the necessary contract extension. With his ability in the mountains, and aggressive racing style, Richard will continue to be relied upon to bring home a steady haul of points to the team, as well as supporting potential new team-mates as required. We are aware of rumours emerging in certain Venezuelan print media that Richard is looking to move on to pastures new in the new season; this is not the messages he has been transmitting to management - this looks like local journalists in his home country trying to create stories out of thin air. Indicating his commitment to Nutresa, Richard has been lobbying management that Nutresa should take the opportunity promotion offers to access some PT races in the new season to help in the develpment of some of our younger riders, and provide new challenges and experiences to reward senior team riders. The additional PR and global tv coverage would certainly please team sponsors, so we are sure that the team is aligned on this message.

Xavier Zabalo - 2014 summary
Xavier Zabalo has had a solid season with Nutresa, pounding out mile after mile on the front of the bunch defending the intersts of his team leaders. He has also occasionally been given free reign to chase personall success, as demonstrated with two victories, the final road stage at the Giro del Capo, finishing things off from a small breakaway, and the prologue at the Istrian Spring Trophy. With a steady accumulation of points here and there for various additional top 20 placings, Xavier amassed 61 ranking points while tending to his domestique duties admirably
Xavier clocking the quickest time in the prologue at the Istrian Spring Trophy
Team managment are well aware that every team needs riders willing to work like trojans exactly as Xavier delivers. He integrated immediately into the team with the common language making this an easy transition, and is a well respected team mate. Zabalo is expected to be offerred a contract extension to continue his duties at PCT level with Nutresa. We hope that he will be interested in contuining on this journey with us.
