Why is Bochman attacking when all he should be doing is to protect Serpa? Still, a good race from our guys apparently. Wish Serpa would have attacked too at some point. Instead he just did all the work for the other riders in the lead.

Nice to see murayev in the break, and I wouldn't fully count him out yet as I'd expect some big gaps by the end of the race and quite a few breakaway victories.

That's the spirit, keep the faith!
Next up is a flat stage in China. Wind plays less of a part traditionally here than in Qatar, so could we have our first bunch sprint of TOTC5? |

You and Krisa don't have any riders even remotely capable of challenging for the GC or a win on a mountainous stage, so you can't be surprised! .....
sutty68 - Which brings me back to your goals? I don't know how you expected a top 10 overall with your team?! (You might have better luck on the sprint stages) |

STAGE 4: Bird Island - Xihaizen 152 KM's
Stage Favourites:
*****Davis(BOR) ****Petacchi(BOR) ***Hinault(TMO)
**Veelers(CAR) *Renshaw(AVI)
Team Iberia set about defending the lead as a host of attacks launch off the front of the peloton. Whether Iberia will have the GC lead as long as they did in TOTC4 remains to be seen....
85 KM to go: 2 large groups form a 17 man breakaway....
They have 3'17 over the peloton but will be caught in the next 20 kilometres as the peloton don't want such a large group to get away...
60 KM to go: Putsep is the lone survivor of the break when ....
3 strong aggressive riders attack out of the peloton. They are: Vermote, Mizbani and O'Grady. They join up with the Estonian to make a quartet.
Nespresso, Borussia Dortmund and Iberia are leading the chase.
Mizbani claims 10 KM points as he leads the break over the only climb of the day with 30 KM to go. The break have 2'25 over the peloton but 70% of the stage to go is downhill.....
The sprint trains take no prisoners...
With 4.6 KM to go the brave attacks are caught and a mass sprint is on the cards.
Two distinct sprint trains have formed, they are of Nespresso and Borussia Dortmund.
Reihs is leading Feillu. Sapa is leading out Davis and Petacchi....
Borussia Dortmund get swamped.....
Feillu is the first big sprinter to launch his final effort with 300 meters to go. Surely too early with the likes of Hinault poised on the wheel....
Feillu soon gets passed, he will not win today despite a strong showing from Nespresso.
Veelers surges to the head of the race ..... but Bozic and Renshaw come on terms and pass the Dutchman with 100 meters to go.
For the win: Bozic vs Renshaw .....
Petro China take the win!
A incredibly tight finish sees Bozic victorious, the first in a long time for Petro China. Bozic shows he doesn't need a sprint train for the win. Renshaw finishes 2nd but if he continues in this vein a win surely isn't too far away.
Veelers for Cartoon Network rounds off the podium. Cartoon Network are starting to look like on of the more rounded teams here after two successive days on the podium in very different terrains. All 198 riders finish together with only the flat out sprinters contesting the top 15 places.
STAGE RESULTS:

Close fight, that win will surely come at some point.
Fun fact: We've had a 2nd place in each one of our TOTCs so far.
