Wow, I had forgotten about Boonen. I must now hope he fails, but just due to being weak, not due to an injury.
Surprised I'm the only one with Kelderman. Yes I'm talking to you Jesleyh

Interesting teams have been formed
Could you put the first letter of the first name of the Schlecks & Yates in fron of the name, Froome?
@Selwink
Yeah... I hopelessly tried to fit him in, but with 600+ CQ points, that was hard

Just transfer him in for February.

I'm surprised that not everyone picked Frank Schleck. Even if he is hideously out of form and doesn't achieve much this season he still cost 0 points. Anything he does is pure profit.
Edit: and you should specify that I picked J Izagirre.

But that's wrong, although I get your thinking. You have to score the most points to win. Saying "anything he does is pure profit" means you score the cheapest points. But you don't score the most points necessarily and don't get the best squad possible. Personally I think Andy and Fränk will have a better season and that's why I decided for them. Plus, Fränk is riding Tour Down Under and might be score some points there... I expect to have to give him or Andy the axe rather sooner than later though, when I see that they still underperform.

Well the way I look at it, we all start with 5000 points 'invested' in the game, the 5000 that they made last year. The aim should be to look for the most efficient way to spend those points and thus it is a search for profit. A 0 point investment to earn, for example, 100 points is 100 points of profit. It also means that I can more efficiently spend my 5000 points on the rest of the team, increasing their relative quality.

Yes, that's why it's the cheapest points, something where we really risk nothing, but that wouldn't necessarily make it the best option of "investment", especially considering his discussable form. This isn't a stock market. But then again, I might think about it too complicated.

Well it depends, because he gets more points to use on the rest of the team.

And chapeau Ollfardh, you made it with Sagan, you should have some 2000+ points guaranteed, but he costed huge points...

Going along with the whole Schleck thing, i'm surprised not many included estaban chavez who also cost nothing as he was injured pretty much all 2013. He's a good filler who I don't think will make a whole lot of points this year, but is a quality young rider.

2673 vs. 995 points
Quite a bit more impressive to have Sagan, I'd say
