WTF is wrong with Fenn? You did turn off random fitness right? If this is him at his peak, what a waste of a signing Rolling Eyes

Today was all about collecting our spirits again after yesterday's stage. Tarik Chaoufi tried his best today but it was a move without putting any thoughts into it. He was completely wasted, drained out and hopefully he will recover for the next stages. If he had managed to catch up to the break, maybe things would have been differently. We know that the team is eager for a win but you also have to weight your options, and in a Grand Tour this means: Don't waste useless energy. Cardoso tried again in a smarter way but the peloton was too fast in the end. But we will try again for the remaining stages and it's a good sign that the riders are willing to risk everything. Nonetheless, they showed courage today.

But seriously, PR stuff aside, cartoon network's breakaway attempts appear to be more of a lame joke. Angry

And could you maybe include the stage profiles at each report, Rider?

Congratulations to Credit Suisse.

EDIT: Oh, and I am really liking this a lot. Good stuff, The Rider. Smile

We couldn't attack being on the defensive.

There is no hope for overall win, no hope for big points, just loosing my time here SadSad

@ my team: Don't forget our moTTo: go back to the ATTACK!

Next TOTC, I'll advise some points for leader(s) jersey per stage,as they assume the wieght of the race, it would be fair imho

Plus I'll stop complaining

Meh.. my riders don't need the distraction of the Playboy...

Great win for Felline. Win came sooner than expected. Smile

Dippofix
Hmm, two men in the break is obviously nice, but i'm not impressed with Förster doing a Rojas.

@Shonak: Pun intended?

Playboy? Really? Pfft Disappointed with the team so far. Not good enough.

Bah, I missed the start, will have to find out how my team is doing tomorrow..
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

The Rider
All - No need to complain if you have not won a stage yet, the race is still young. Wink

STAGE 6: Gent - Wevelgem 235 KM's

Stage Favourites:
*****Steegmans(BOR) ****Eeckhout(SEM) ***Duque(CRL)
**Felline(CRE) *Cooke(AER)

The last of the cobbled stages takes in the route of Gent - Wevelgem.

i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab304/therider92/1_zps2aa9bced.jpg

The break today broke away very early and was made up of: Sulzberger, Offredo, Konovalovas, Bauer and McCann.

In truth very little happened for a long time after. The break reached a maximum time gap of 12:00 with 150 kilometres to go before Semen Indonesia, Banco do Brasil and Boeing started to ride.

i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab304/therider92/2_zpsa2202ebd.jpg

From 80 KM to go - 30 KM to go the race was really difficult. The strong cross winds causing the peloton to split into many many groups as the peloton conquered the steep cobbled hills.

i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab304/therider92/3_zpsdd9304a9.jpg

TEAM IBERIA LEAD THE ATTACK

With 63 kilometres to go and the break @ 4'50 Durbridge attacks out of the peloton. Grabsch and Bodnar followed by Rosseler also attack and would eventually ride up to the break.

It is good to see Festina putting a man on the attack despite leading the race.

i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab304/therider92/4_zps259c0fa2.jpg

The hills are over with 30 kilometres to go and Gusev, due to being terribly positioned, is well back in the field some 1'30 behind the pink jersey/ Gadret group. He goes on the attack and bridges up to a Quinziato led group and begins to work his way to the Gadret group.

i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab304/therider92/5_zpsc9ba74b8.jpg

The strong break which attacked with 63 kilometres to go really did eat up the road and despite the peloton's best efforts they would contest the victory. Only Offredo of the original group has not been dropped on the flat by the late attackers.

Grabsch leads the five men into the sprint, none are specialist sprinters so the result will be an interesting one........ as behind the front of the peloton, knowing the stage win is lost, has slowed up and many riders including Navarro and Gusev join up.

Bodnar
wins. VICTORY FOR FESTINA WATCHES!

Festina were leading the race and now they have a stage win. What a tour for them. Rosseler was the best of rest of the break, but was well behind the Pole.

Bauer did well to hold off the peloton and Felline won the bunch sprint ahead of Duque.

Knees and Duarte failing hard, guess I'll have to go for a stage win..
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Dippofix
Tschopp staying in contention, very nice. Only loosing 2 minutes to Gadret on all the cobbles is quite good, really.

I like that my guys go in every break. If only Steegmans could perform better...

Hmm, too many breaks are winning, I guess the field is too even.

3rd is nice though Wink

Navarro and Quinziato managed to stay in the group of favourites and this means a total time loss on the favourites of around 2 minutes at all cobble stages combined. This is more than satisfying, especially seeing that other favourites have lost way more time. We now look forward to the stages which will suit us better.

Seriously, bring on the damn mountains! Grin

All - No need to complain if you have not won a stage yet, the race is still young. Wink

Well, I'm on 27 stages without a win, I feel like I should be allowed to complain Pfft

And this bunch of tossers I've signed don't look like they're going to change that.
