The Squad:

W.Bonnet
N.Bouhanni
A.Courteille
M.Delage
A.Demare
A.Louveille
D.Rollin
G.Soupe

Pre-Race:

Looking at our squad here I'm not the best option for the victory. It will be either Nacer of Arnaud. I will have a free role to increase my advantage in the Cup.

Race Report:

The breakaway did not have to fight hard to exist, no one was pacing the pack so when they left no one countered them.
This is why they reached a gap of 10' quite easily. This why the DS asked Geoffrey to take the control of the pack.

Hugo Houle (Ag2r - La Mondiale)
Valerio Agnoli (Astana Pro Team)
Guillaume Boivin (Cannondale Pro Cycling)
George Bennett (Radioshack - Leopard)

i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y382/Axel_Choteau/Anthony/2013/18%20Denain/PCM0002_zpsac5cafc4.jpg

With 35 kilometers to go, the gap was down to 2'30.
When Yaroslav Popovych (Radioshack - Leopard) and Andy Cappelle (Accent.Jobs - Wanty) decided to attack, some teams came to help us in the chase, There was mainly Katusha and Cofidis.

i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y382/Axel_Choteau/Anthony/2013/18%20Denain/PCM0003_zps7a5631b2.jpg

We caught all of them with 10 kilometers left, this is where Dominique upped the pace to make our opponents struggle.
It was decided that it was Arnaud our main sprinter, Nacer was not feeling good and he gave the green light to Arnaud.

I've made my own sprint without interfering with them and when Arnaud crossed the line first, I was right behind him , William in my wheel, a treble for the team isn't it amazing?

P.Fedrigo
A.Geslin
A.Jeannesson
A.Louveille
L.Pichon
J.Roy

Pre-Race:

This race is in my cords looking a my past results. Again I'm still young and all that is going so fast already 6 victories. Pierrick is also a good chance of victory for the team if he managed to leave the pack with punch.

Race Report:

Contrary to the last race, the breakaway really struggled to get formed, during 70 kilometers there were attacks and attacks and every time the pack was reacting leaving no chance for the attackers.

Finally 4 men managed to leave:

Matthias Vanden Heede (Colba - Superano Ham)
Romain Sicard (Euskaltel Euskadi)
Kenny Elissonde (FDJ)
Rob Britton (Raleigh - GAC)

i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y382/Axel_Choteau/Anthony/2013/19%20Finistere/PCM0002_zps0f8ee78a.jpg

Then it was up to the other team to control the pace, Cofidis and Katusha made the biggest part of the job but LA Pomme Marseille really made the breakaway last shorter.

When Alexandr Pliuschin (IAM Cycling) and Thomas Dekker (Garmin-Sharp) attacked with 39 kilometers let, La Pomme Marseille did everything to brought them back and they also brought the breakaway at the same time.

i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y382/Axel_Choteau/Anthony/2013/19%20Finistere/PCM0003_zpsb1c81b2f.jpg

During the Last 15 kilometers Arnold tried to block any atemps from another rider but when Christophe Le Mével (Cofidis Solutions Crédits) went away, it was already too late.

i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y382/Axel_Choteau/Anthony/2013/19%20Finistere/PCM0004_zps519a25b9.jpg

In the pack it was over, the victory was for Christophe Le Mével. The guys brought me to the front to get at list a top 3 but I was blocked by a rider from Katusha. I took the 5th position after a real fight to go up in the pack.

Pre-Race:

This is my last race before a small break, I told my DS that I was feeling tired, with his authorization, I will not ride La Roue Tourangelle. But I still have this race where I have to do well, I've got good team mates.
Mathieu is free to do whatever he want, he will be protected and launched if he need to.

Race Report:

Again, it was really hard for breakaway to be build, it took 50 kilometers and only three riders were allowed to escape:

Antoine Warnier (ColorCode - Biowanze)
Francis Mourey (FDJ)
Antoine Lavieu (La Pomme Marseille)

i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y382/Axel_Choteau/Anthony/2013/20%20Tro%20Bro%20Leon/PCM0002_zps87939f64.jpg

Thanks to Francis, we did not have to work behind in the pack. And no one did, the breakaway got more than 14' on the pack. and with 80 kilometers left there was still a gap of 10'. AG2R La Mondiale started to ride fast and it caused many breaks in the pack. I was still protected by Laurent and The others did not too many efforts too stay in contact.

Francis started to believe in his chances and in the pack we made everything for him to make it, we tried to slow the pack.

Unfortunately, the pack was too strong and he ate the 3 riders 8 kilometers before the line. This when Mathieu tried to escape, without success as AG2R was still riding very fast.

With 3 kilometers to go, Antony Geslin brought me to the front and he launched me for the sprint.

I was simply the fastest but I was not expecting a come back from Mathieu who took the second position.

For the moment I only have one question, it would be great to have at list 3 or 4 questions to make a proper interview.

Thanks, tpinot.

The Interview

Since the begining of the season, a new French rider does not stop showing his amazing talent, it looks like he have no weakness ; Good on cobbles, on the hills, he is a good sprinter and he win races. Since January, he won 7 times including the GC of the Belgium race Driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen. Anthony Louveille, this name might ring a bell for all the followers of cyclism and for the FDJ's fans, he is almost already their favorite. After his recent win in the French race Tro-Bro Leon we had the chance to get an interview with him.

- Your form at the moment is nothing short of Brilliant, how long do you think you can keep it up ? (sutty68)

In my season Plan, the beginning of the season was a huge target for me, I had to prove everyone I deserve the spot in the team, the victories came and I've made my way to the top of the PMU French cup. Now I will have a decrease in form as my first peak was for these 4 races. I will have a little in-shape week after the Tour de Suisse in case of a selection for the French Championship and then I will peak by the end of September for the last races of the French Cup. So to answer the question, I think that this will not last long but it will come back.

- How was the Belgian crowd to you in your Belgian adventure? (Ian Butler)

I have only one word to describe it, "Amazing". I won mostly in sprints but everytime time they were chearing us up. This is not like in football with fan insulting the opponents, here they were chearing everybody nevermind the team or the nationality. Even if I am only 19, after some races my name started to be written on the roads that's just incredible.

- How do you see your future? (Ian Butler)

As a professional rider, maybe the leader of a team, I know I have the skils to win bigger races, but I'll have to prove it.

- Do you see the future at FDJ? (Ian Butler)

For the moment yes, but we never know what could happen. In the team they really want to become one of the biggest team in the world and there are not much rider with such a complete profile. There is Thibaut for the Stage Races, Arnaud and Nacer for the sprint, Yoann and Mathieu for the Cobbled classics but they are getting "old" and Arthur for the Ardennes. And with the actual situation it's good to stay in team that want you instead of ruining the relation to go in another team that could fire you after one year.

- Who was your favorite cyclist growing up? (welker3257)

I think that my favorite cyclist was and stil is Laurent Jalabert, I'm only 19 so when he was at the top of his career I was just 5, but when I grew up I learned his records, a very talented rider. If I could achieve half of his records I would be a happy man. There is also Christophe Moreau but for other reasons, I like the character, the way he was racing. I think he don't have the records he deserves. For non French riders there was Tom Boonen, a great man and a great palmares, he is the only cyclist who won 4 time the Ronde van Vlaanderen.

- What are your biggest career dreams? (Ian Butler)

I think I've already said them, the Big Slam, winning the five biggest races of the calendar, perhaps not in one year but yes this is my biggest dream. Then, winning the Green Jersey, the French Championship and The World Championship. I'd like to get a top 10 in a GT just for the fun. That's it I think, not all these will be achieve, but yes, why not, these are great dreams

- Final little question: What would you like most? World Champion or winner of Paris - Roubaix? (Ian Butler)

World Championship using Paris - Roubaix road? No I never think of it. I may say the World Championship, just for the rainbow jersey, the most beautiful jersey in the peloton. But if I could win both I would not say no to that.

Anthnoy will now make a break to prepare himself for the second part of the season starting in Les 4 Jours de Dunkerque

M.Ladagnous

Pre-Race:

Our leader here is Arnaud, 4 flat stages and 1 hilly one. With the presence of Marcel Kittel (Team Argos-Shimano), John Degenkolb (Team Argos-Shimano) or also Tom Boonen (OmegaPharma - Quick Step Cycling Team), the stage victory will be hard to get but this is our main goal here.

Stage 1

i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y382/Axel_Choteau/Anthony/2013/21%20Dunkerque/PCM0001_zps653e48d8.jpg

There were no need for the team to be in the breakaway and in the pack OmegaPharma - Quick Step Cycling Team and Team Argos-Shimano were working hard to control the gap.

We just brought Arnaud toward the sprint were he took the third position behind Gerald Ciolek (MTN - Qhubeka) and Tom Boonen (OmegaPharma - Quick Step Cycling Team).

Like stage 1, none of us breakaway and OmegaPharma - Quick Step Cycling Team and Team Argos-Shimano pacing the pack.

Again we led Arnaud for a sprint but this time he could not do better then 5th. Tom Boonen won for the second time.

When I said that there was only one hilly stage I might have seen wrong, the finish of this stage was very intense and even if it ended in a sprint, the sprinters that can't climb a little were just figuration.

John Degenkolb (Team Argos-Shimano) took the victory and Arnaud ended 8th.

@sutty68: We were expecting better from him but there is a strong field here.

Stage 4

i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y382/Axel_Choteau/Anthony/2013/21%20Dunkerque/PCM0004_zpsc8907cc6.jpg

It was definitively the hardest stage of the race, we had Mathieu in the breakaway, and the pace in the pack was really hard to follow.

i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y382/Axel_Choteau/Anthony/2013/21%20Dunkerque/PCM0010_zps9dfa6f4f.jpg

Anthony was feeling better than me so we decided to go with him for the finish. He took the 20th position and I the 24th. Tee young French hope Romain Bardet (Ag2r - La Mondiale) took the victory.

It was our last chance to get a stage victory in that race but Arnaud did not managed to do better than in the previous stages. He took the 8th position while Tom Boonen won for the 3rd time here.

Well that's really an unsuspected top 10 for me as I was a bit in the shadow during this race. We hope to do better in the next race which is Tour de Picardie.
