We tried with 3 riders to get with the break but only with 75kms to go,  C. Miller managed to get away.. there is a breakaway group in front with 11 riders..1´26"gap. After Miller ride 25kms alone, the peloton brought him back, breakaway group has 2´09"gap.. the race came to the last 5kms with only one rider at the front..
 R. Van Zandbeek(RIJ) manages to reach last km banner but he´s totally empty...
 T. Smolen(BGZ) leads the sprint..
.. and wins Trofej Umag ..  L. Romero is Jamis´s best rider in 26th..

We achieve our 1st top10 as a team..
Jamis really needs to change squad roster for european races.. we had a nice train but somehow the orders to follow change alone to infinite relay .. we hadn´t many chances but so it´s even harder to get anything.. i´ll have to bring Haedo back in europe..

Haedo has to prove something, so motivation shouldn't be an issue for him Better luck next time and of course good to see this continuing after that moment of shock

*tsmoha - i´ll have to bring some riders from the USA squad to Europe or we will "die" this season.. my plan was something else but Jamis is too weak for that team split... maybe next season.. i´m glad too that i can continue with this..

With the last results being far from what we wich,  J.J. Haedo will race today and probably will jump between Europe and USA races.. but lets see what happened in the race.. no one wanted to take the lead in the pack as the race started so C. Miller decided to attack.. upahead, 3 riders will join him...
Peloton rode relaxed and before the 10kms banner the break was caught.. we took the lead then..
With 5kms to go and with Jamis leading the pace, R. Van Zandbeek(RIJ) surprised all with an powerfull attack.. he gains a small gap..
Somehow, Zandbeek manages to stay in front and reach the final km with some free space to the pack..
.. and he wins on his homeland.. we missed completly the sprint, even when we were leading it.. amazing.

.. but we have some good news aswell.. we are the winners in team rankings and there for we earn 5 attribute points. R. Companioni will get 2 points from this 5..

Haedo needs to get used to Europe first Better times are ahead! I like those late, succesfull attacks, btw. Even though I would have preferred James doing something special like that, of course

*tsmoha - Haedo will be part of the squad for next stage race  Istrian Spring Trophy and we are waiting for a stage win at least / last.. .. those attacks are great to watch but i hate them as most of the time i can´t react to them.. 
*admirschleck - We were making a nice train and if we had some more fast riders, Haedo would have made better... he lost too much speed with the train on the final km.. i have faith we will do good in Croatia..

We were counting with the stage win but B.J. Maynes couldn´t do better as +6"... there was a big fight for stage win between  J. Sütterlin(TET),  M. Costa(OFM) and D. Van Baarle(RB3) and at the end, the German rider was the fastest one..
Stage Result/Overall Ranking
Our plan was to win the kom sprint with L. Romero and he did it..
The breakaway was caught and at the finish,  D. Craven wins.. 13 riders got the same time as the winner but few meters behind, almost the entire peloton gets +55" gap.. this means we were caught too..

Jamis really concentrate all efforts in the kom sprints, L. Romero delivered once more and was virtual kom leader before the finish..
The final sprint is won by S. Schumacher, he gains more kom points here and takes the lead again.. B.J. Maynes attacked at the bottom and entered last km with some seconds gap but faded in the closing meters..

We had to try everything, so C. Mooney and B.J. Maynes were in the break... peloton did a great job and caught them with 10kms to go.. Maynes still had enought energy and could fight for the final sprint.. Euskadi has all their hopes in  C. Barbero, Maynes tries to keep with him..
Last turn,.. B.J. Maynes(5th rider) is fadding away..
... but not C. Barbero.. he wins last stage.. Maynes get another top10 finish..
