In case you missed the final lap of Cyclocross UCI World Cup Koksijde 2013 here it is: (There was an ugly crash in there, can anyone tell me who it was?)
Bad luck for Van der Haar as he unclipped just before the final straight. Albert profits and wins. Full results later.
Superprestige #5 - Gieten
Quite a hectic race by the elites. Albert was held up by a crash at the start and was riding in last place for a while. Steadily he got to the front to immediately take control of the race. Only Van der Haar and Vantornout could follow, but the latter would get dropped soon. Van der Haar held on till the last lap, where he unclipped at a very bad moment. Nys had a mechanical at a really bad moment and eventually gave up after realizing he was too far back. Elite Men

Franzoi shows that he still got it. Though of course all the big names (except Mourey) were in the Netherlands today. Int. Radquer Hittnau
The Scheldecross is a cross with a mixed U23 and Elite Men field. Mathieu van der Poel immediately impresses everyone by finishing 2nd behind Albert. Van Aert also shows his talent by finishing 7th. Scheldecross Elite/U23 Men
I never really new about Cross stars comming through, of course i heard of the dude Van de Haar(think i spelt it right) but this vander poel fasinates me i just found out Poulidor is his grandad.
He's just 18 years old. He won 31 of 31 races in Junior Cyclocross last year
And Adrie v/d Poel is his dad I believe
He didn't only dominate cyclo-cross, he won the Junior rankings on the road as well(Him and Mads Pedersen really won almost everything in the Juniors on the road).
He even won the WC Juniors on the road having an injury

All true, but like I said before, this has happened more in cycling history. Many burn up before they hit the pros decently. Let's hope it doesn't happen with him.
Of course
But don't forget, you'll always have Van der Haar. He's brilliant in building his career up slowly, saving energy. Believe me, he's top of the world for the next 15 years
Unless Van der Poel doesn't slow down, then he'll win every race for the next 10 years
