for the non spanish speakers, that's the spanish track team
wonder what Carlos Torrent (funny name) can do in the sprints.
EDIT: actually looking at the startlist, he isn't there. but all the other usual track suspects are (Llaneras, Tauler, Escobar...)

Last year, I was on Mallorca and we met many track racers, mostly germans and spaniards (and suprisingly the czechs, who were staying at the same hotel as us). And guess where we met spaniards. In the mountains! So the maybe think 1km or scratch is the same thing as Soler climb. |

There's no reason to think that. Actually, Radek Becka fought for the points in the intermediate sprints and Schulze did well in the first stage. F. ex. Van Vliet's doing much worse here in Mallorca.
In the meanwhile, the Giro della Provincia di Reggio Calabria (2.1) started yesterday and will last till tomorrow. First stage ended in a group sprint, where Gabriele Balducci (Acqua e Sapone) got repaid after being defeated by Alessandro Petacchi in the GP Costa degli Etruschi last saturday. It's a little - renewed race where Danilo di Luca returned after his 3-month ban and ended in 8th, maybe remembering of his times when he entered the mass sprints in the Giro (and didn't struggle for the GC). |

Im surprised by Trofimov's victory, he was shit in the Tour Down Under, losing loads of time on the first couple of stages before abandoning.

Cummings won 2nd stage of Giro della provincia di calabria, J. J. Rojas won 3rd stage of Vuelta a Mallorca. And I can celebrate: PSK Whirpool is no longer the worst team in VaM. They are even 14th (ahead of Skil-Shimano and Van Vliet) |
