70km to go.
Today we race stage 3 and the final stage of the New Sealand Cycle classic. We hope we can get a stage win and maybe the GC. Our importest mission is: Getting in form for the Tour de Langkawi and the Belgian classics.
69km to go.
Hayakwawa is the first one who atacks. But Cyclingteam De Rijke-Shanks start to chaching them.
49km to go.
Furlan wins the first sprint. Trussov is second and Wamsley is thirth.
36km to go.
Trussov wins the second sprint. Wamsley is second and Furlan thirth.
20km to go.
There is a breakaway! The riders are Polivoda, Davis, McCarthey, Carpenter and Putt. They have a gap of 1'39"at the peloton. But in the GC the stands all at 3'00" or more.
16km to go.
Havik try to atack. Maybe he can get time enough for the GC-win.
5km to go.
Havik is still leading. He haves a gap of 40". Is it enough for the stage and maybe the GC-win?
Finsh
No! It was not enough! He get's back at 300m before the finish . Averin wins the stage. And Schumacher the GC.
This race could better. We have at each stage a podium place, but we hoped for a stage win. But we have the places 2-5 in the GC. We hope we race next year not in this race. We want to be PCT next year!
