Not exactly Crue, but almost.
They said he doesn't have a new function yet, because they must find out first what sort of function would suit him. Until that time he'll mainly function for promotional purposes.
Also, I interview Thomas Dekker, Marc de Maar and Sebastian Langeveld (as I do the content on their websites).
Dekker will be aiming for top-3 in one of the hilly classics and he aims for the win in the Vuelta Ciclista al Pais Vasco. After that he will go for the white jersey in the Tour de France, were he sees Andy Schleck as his biggest opponent, but he also named Brajkovic and Lovkvist.
Marc de Maar and Sebastian Langeveld have a similar program and will mainly be aiming for good results in the cobbled races. De Maar hopes to ride the Giro also. Langeveld, who has been given the status of protected rider this year, was pretty modest with his ambitions though, he is not exactly the man who says "I hope to fight for the win here and there"... But instead just hopes to go as far as possible and then he'll be satisfied. He kinda reminds me of Boogerd also in looks (except the teeth).

Andy can win the tour THIS year.
are you from luxembourg?
let's see what happened to the last few guys who got podiums in their first ever grand tours, shall we?
I can't be bothered to go back before 2000, but since 2000 the guys who did that, all have a combined grand total of 4 GT podiums between them. that's a podium in each of their first GT. and nothing else. none more after that. generally that just means one period of awesome form and a big descent. about half the prospects who make a big impact turn out to be average riders.
so let's take it easy with Mr. Schleck and give him time. If he can't even beat Di Luca, he'll need time before he might be able to compete for the Grand Tours. and that's just the mountains. in the time trials he's very weak.
so don't be too hasty to jump the gun
Nope america, but all im saying is that for example contador, wasnt the favorite coming into the tour this year, or the team leader. Plus he's not as bad of a timetrialer as you make him you make him out to be. And i guess you could say im optimistic but you'll see in july

Stefan Schumacher has nothing to fear from the Bund Deutsche Radfahrer (BDR - the German cycling federation) concerning the fact that he tested positive for amphetamines in a control by German police following an auto accident in October last year. On Monday evening the Gerolsteiner rider announced that a blood test following his accident on October 7 showed traces of amphetamines in his system.
Schumacher had been celebrating his third place finish in the World Championships and admitted to having driven his car while under the influence of alcohol, but denied having used any sort of drug.
After being informed of the case, the BDR reviewed the situation and deemed that there's no need for it to get involved in the matter. "[The BDR] came to the conclusion that it is not a doping case, because amphetamines are not on the World Anti-Doping Agency's 'out-of-competition' forbidden list," the federation said in a press release issued late Tuesday afternoon.
The BDR noted that Schumacher's last race for the 2007 season was the World Championship race in Stuttgart, Germany, and that he had a negative doping control after the road race on September 30. "That there was more than a week between the Worlds race and the police control after Schumacher's accident, it can be assumed that the amphetamine was not taken in connection with a race or in a preparation phase for a race," the BDR release continued. "There is therefore no violation of the doping rules."
Jan Ullrich was suspended for six months in 2002 after testing positive for an amphetamine, which was on the forbidden list at the time, however the rules were changed in 2004. Schumacher may still face civil charges or punishment by Team Gerolsteiner.
