Riblon's presence pretty much guarantees that the break won't win this.

It's the first major mountain stage with no major ITT having gone before. Eddy Merckx could be in the break and it wouldn't have a chance in hell.

Never say never. Last time this stage was ridden Andy Schleck decided he didn't want to win the tour and just sat on Contadors wheel instead of going for the win.
Retarded things like that probably won't happen today, as Andy will probably be pretty irrelavent, but you never know. |

I don't see what that has to do with a break on the first mountain stage

Impey's hanging in there well, and has no teammates left.

Liggett says he's hearing Impey's being dropped from the peleton.
15 seconds on, we pan to the front of the race and who's there? Impey, 3 riders back.

Just as well Daryl Impey does not ride for Team Sky. The way he climbs as a lead out man, come occasional sprinter, he would become the ultimate domestique. |

Nothing. It has relevans to the break on this stage. Last time the break was going to get cought until Schleck and Contador decided not to. |

Definitely. The GC riders all want the yellow jersey bonus.
