Yes, motivation won't be a problem, it's time. Not necassarily now, but when school starts again. And I don't want to be a 'January Season 1- February Season 1' story like all those others in the storysection right now, I want a long story

I've got two teams I've kinda narrowed in on, as well as a few other ideas.
I'm just reluctant to start anything until I know I will have motivation and time to actually write a story.

Well, I've been trying to think of a new story for when the Expansion Pack is out. The one I'm really keen on is a video story like Failured and edibletoast/imthegamesguy. More the latter though as I was thinking about the community story that he started and didn't get past January! That would have been amazing if he hadn't disappeared.
I really want to do a successful community story and at the moment I'm fiddling around with Youtube and video capture. Not really sure on the idea of the story but I want it to be quite similar to the way edibletoast did it, like setting a certain amount of points depending on the riders' ages etc.
Would there be much interest? Bearing in mind that the database isn't even out yet and it would be a few weeks until it was ready to go anyway. |

Yeah, I hope so. I'm fairly certain that I'm going to give this a go. Just coming up with some ideas. And obviously the application criteria and rules. If previous 'your riders' stories are anything to go by it won't be hard to fill 30 slots! |

Patch is out and Expansion Pack is right around the corner. I'm so excited that I just wrote three new episodes for The Comeback in a hour.

Sitting in the uni library writing episodes for The Comeback. This is far more fun and educational then trying to work on my group projects.
I may be addicted to writing my story. Is there therapy for that?
While I may be a bit sarcastic, it's still true.

But in the end it is always coming down to those stuff that prevents me to do something there:
1. writing is a problem as I tend to make it very direct plus don't really want to report every single crap race like a 2.2 race
2. I don't want something actual like PCM13 or so (there are enough) but more CYM4, PCM(05)-PCM07. Actually I want to do one with CYM3 (Bianchi) but I don't have it. Even if those are in the recent dark age of cycling (00s) it would be more fun to do that.
3. Difficult to make a real name DB as the Cya DB with those false/fake names could be a story killer eh?

I would gladly give you some motivation if that was possible. I have way to many ideas and not enough time to remember all of them. My fingers can't type fast enough. 
Somehow I got lucky and don't have to deal with any three points you described.

I'm torn between you two, I guess I have a certain idea for a story that I'm carrying around now for more than a year (even before I stopped with Dominik). And in theory, it's absolutely great, and I love thinking about it, but when it comes to sitting down and actually doing it, I somehow don't feel like it. I guess I would need to start and get at least some things done so I get a better feeling for the story. But well, someday I will find the motivation and then it'll be right, I suppose...

Well it's safe to say that if you did comeback to story writing cunego59 you certainly would have the nice following to back you up.
Also I would like to say, I'm happy to help the community with any questions about story writing in general since I feel that's one of my major roles as an Admin.
I have already had a few members ask me for help, tips, tricks, advice, you name it. I'm here to help. The more great stories the better.
So, just shoot me a PM and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Well, I did some minor editing stuff and at least started the savegame today, so there's some progress, but I think it'll still take some time.
And Mre, I might take your offer and PM you some of the story stuff in the next few days. A second opinion is always good
