I would advise against that, better stay to game mechanics, look for a new sponsor and sign with who offers best money/most convenient home country. |

No, you should not change name to Belkin or any other new sponsor.
It is story and it has nothing to do with real life.
Think about how boring would be if Ian or dienblad (for example) changed stats like they are irl. Game makes totally new life, totally new cycling world, and that is what makes stories interesting. |

I am thinking about it, to be honest I don't know how to change shirts and stuff, only for custom teams. And I don't want to mess things up. I think your suggestion is a good one, I'll have to change the contract duration though. I'll have to think about it, but for now it'll stay Blanco.
@Jesley, indeed I like him. Hope he develops more!
Thanks for the comments, I'm always open for your opinions! |

You can just stick to mechanics and stay with Blanco till end of 2013 and then change name and appearance. |

I know, I have the newest DB though, so most stats are from RL atm, but you're right, it's just a story. I'll either keep Blanco as sponsor for the whole duration of the story, or I'll let the contract end and find a new one. But, since PCM 13 is coming quite soon, I have enough races to race still. |

Yes, that is one option. But as I said, it will take a long time till I reach the end of the season I think. |

Maybe you didn't get me right. I am talking that when you start story , it's totally different story than real life.
Perfect example is Rabobank in Ian's story, who didn't change it at all. Let it stay like that, and let game decided how would something goes.
At the end,it's your decision, i just want to say what would i do. |

Ooh, I thought you meant changing stats to make them more realistic. I get what you mean and I'll just race this season with Blanco on the shirt and we'll see from there on. |

I agree with admirschleck. I think it's better to find a sponsor ingame. A nice part of the story. But of course, it's your decision.

Yeah, changing to Belkin isn't necassary for me, only if you really want it ofc. It would of course break my heart(), but it's your story, if you want to change it, you can, if you don't want to change it, that's cool as well

Keep it Blanco, it is a Blanco story after all, and as admir said once you start a story it's an alternate reality |

Vuelta a Andalucia
Stage 4:
Stageprofile:
The team:
Report:
Blanco is becoming a synonym for attack, we wan’t to please our fans and make the stages more interesting for the viewers. Today we attack once again!
Nordhaug is wearing the KOTM jersey and we want to keep it that way, so we send him into the attack together with Clement.
They get 7 other guys with them:
T. Machado (RLT)
M. Belkov (KAT)
G.Ermeti (AND)
A. Tulik (EUC)
A. Wetterhall (TNE)
F. Schmidt (SOJ)
I. Velasco (CJR)
They get a pretty decent lead and Nordhaug is picking up quite a lot of points. He will definitely secure his KOTM jersey today! When we reach the last climb, the peloton is splitting in a lot of different groups. Richie Porte is the first of the favorites to attack!
With that in mind, Nordhaug immediately attacks when the road starts ascending again.
Porte gets joined by some other favorites, Spilak, Bakelants and Visconti join him.
Nordhaug doesn’t have a lot of energy left, and in the back the others are closing in quickly! Martin, Costa and Monfort also joined the chasing group now! With only 1 kilometer of the last climb to go Nordhaug gets caught, the pace is too high for him!
He tries everything to hang on, but he gets dropped with 1 kilometer of the climb to go… He won’t win the stage unfortunately. Once again he’s caught just before he has a chance to win…
The front group also splits and Rui Costa, Daniel Martin, Simon Spilak and Maxime Monfort will sprint for the win! Rui Costa surprises everyone with a really long sprint! I for one didn’t expect him to hold on for so long, but he did! He wins in today’s battlefield! Nordhaug finishes in 8th place, disappointed but happy with the KOTM jersey! He is also our best rider in the GC taking a 19th place '1.22 behind the winner.
The winner of today's stage also wins the GC, Rui Costa did a great job! Simon Spilak is second in the GC with only 3 (!) seconds behind! Monfort takes a good 3rd place aswell. All of these riders did so well because of their great prologue.
Sorry once again, the thing failed to capture the final sprint…

Shame about the GC, KoM is nice though
And I must say that your reports are getting better and better, and a good read! Except the finish shot

@Jesley: Yeah, unfortunately that he was out of energy 1 kilometer till the summit of the last climb... otherwise he might have taken the win and gc. Thanks for the compliment, I appreciate it! The finish photo will definitely be in the next report!
@Tom: It's already home, the race is done!
@Sutty: Indeed, atleast one price we got!

Omloop het Nieuwsblad
Raceprofile:
Our Team:
Report:
Today is the first cobbled race for us this year! We’re hoping for a top 10, because our form is not really good enough to win here yet.
We got a breakaway after about 40 kilometers of riders trying to escape. It was hard to get away here! But these guys made it into the BOTD:
W. Barguil (ARG)
W. Poels (VCD)
E. Viviani (CAN)
J. Segers (MMM)
E. Vorganov (KAT)
A. Charteau
They never got a really big gap and the peleton kept them within reach.
With 23 kilometers to go the peleton has broken into a few groups and the distance to the BOTD is only 1 minute! Flecha and Langeveld see this as a good opportunity to attack! Pretty early but brave!
The group thins out and only around 20 men are able to follow. We still have Vanmarcke and Boom in this group. Vanmarcke has a pretty bad day and he has lost some energy trying to keep up on the last cobbled section. A lot of riders attacked there, blowing their legs up. We decided to wait and hope that it comes back together. With 5 kilometers to go it does!
We’re going into the sprint! Boom is in the wheel of Vanmarcke, he has a great day despite his form. He’ll be our main sprinter today!
The sprint for the win is really tight! Van Avermaet is in front for the last 500 meters, but with the last 100 meter Boonen comes flying past him, it will be a photofinish!
In the end it is Tom Boonen who wins it! What a great last punch to get past van Avermaet. Van Avermaet will be very disappointed though, he was so close! Third place goes to Matti Breschel. Boom rode a great sprint and takes 4th. Vanmarcke manages to get the 11th place!
